The advantage of a concentrated flavor for DIY

The DIY concentrated flavor gives you the freedom to create your own mixes at a good value for money. By mixing your own e-liquid, you can achieve personalized flavors tailored to your tastes, while controlling the nicotine dosage.

It is also a more economical solution: a single bottle of flavor allows you to prepare several dozen milliliters of e-liquid, at a lower cost than ready-to-vape e-liquids.

For demanding vaping enthusiasts, DIY is thus a cost-effective experience.

The necessary equipment

In order to create your own DIY e-liquid, you will need :

• A concentrated flavor for DIY ;
• A neutral PG/VG base (with or without nicotine) ;
• An additive (optional) ;
• One or more empty bottles to store your mixes ;
• A pipette or a graduated bottle ;
• Latex gloves and safety goggles if you need to handle nicotine.

Before any handling, make sure to work on a clean, washed surface out of reach of children and animals.

DIY flavor dosage

A concentrated flavor must be diluted in a PG/VG base and cannot be vaped on its own.

Depending on the manufacturer, a DIY flavor has a different dilution rate, always expressed as a percentage: 4%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%.

Concretely, in our 200 ml DIY Pack in 50/50 PG/VG, this would give :

• 4 % of the total volume in a 50/50 PG/VG base = 8 ml of flavor to add to your 200 ml base
• 10 % of the total volume in a 50/50 PG/VG base = 20 ml of flavor to add to your 200 ml base
• 15 % of the total volume in a 50/50 PG/VG base = 30 ml of flavor to add to your 200 ml base
• 20 % of the total volume in a 50/50 PG/VG base = 40 ml of flavor to add to your 200 ml base
• 25 % of the total volume in a 50/50 PG/VG base = 50 ml of flavor to add to your 200 ml base

In a 70/30 base :

If your neutral base contains more propylene glycol (a flavor enhancer), we recommend reducing the dosage of your flavor (from 15 to a minimum of 12%).

In a 30/70 base :

If your neutral base contains more vegetable glycerin (which dampens flavors), we recommend adding a little more flavor to your mix (from 15 to 17%).

Maturation

Let your e-liquid rest for a few days to a few weeks so the flavors fully develop. Some flavors require more maturation time than others :

• Simple fruit flavors : 0 to 5 days ;
• Complex fruit flavors (raspberry, orange, apple, blackberry, watermelon, dragon fruit...) : 5 to 7 days ;
• Menthol, spiced, vanilla, or anise flavors : 10 to 15 days ;
• Dessert flavors : 15 to 20 days ;
• Classic flavors : approximately 15 days.

After the maturation period, test your liquid. You can adjust the flavor by adding base to reduce it or adding flavor to strengthen it, if necessary.

Storage

To preserve all the qualities of your DIY e-liquid :

• Store it in a dry place, away from light and heat ;
• Note the manufacturing date and ingredients on each bottle ;
• Always store your preparations out of reach of children and animals.
