The advantage of a concentrated DIY aroma

DIY concentrated aroma gives you total creative freedom and an excellent value for money. By preparing your own e-liquid, you get personalised flavours perfectly tailored to your taste, while controlling the nicotine dosage and composition.

It is also a more economical option: a single bottle of aroma can be used to prepare several dozen millilitres of e-liquid, at a lower cost than ready-to-vape e-liquids.

For demanding and creative vaping enthusiasts, DIY is a fun, customisable and cost-effective experience.

Required equipment

To create your own DIY e-liquid, you will need the following:

• A concentrated aroma for DIY;
• A neutral PG/VG base (with or without nicotine);
• An additive (optional);
• One or more empty bottles to carry your mixes;
• A pipette or a graduated bottle;
• Latex gloves and safety goggles if you need to handle nicotine.

Before any handling, make sure you work on a clean surface, out of reach of children and animals.

DIY aroma dosage

A concentrated aroma must always be diluted in a PG/VG base. It should never be vaped on its own.

Depending on the manufacturer, a DIY aroma may have a different dilution rate, always expressed as a percentage: 4%, 10%, 15%, 20% or 25%.

In practical terms, with our 200 ml DIY Pack, this would give:

In a 50/50 PG/VG base

• 4% of total volume = 8 ml of aroma to add to your 200 ml base
• 10% of total volume = 20 ml of aroma to add to your 200 ml base
• 15% of total volume = 30 ml of aroma to add to your 200 ml base
• 20% of total volume = 40 ml of aroma to add to your 200 ml base
• 25% of total volume = 50 ml of aroma to add to your 200 ml base

In a 70/30 PG/VG base

If your neutral base contains more propylene glycol (flavour enhancer), we recommend reducing the dosage of your aroma (to 12–15%).

In a 30/70 PG/VG base

If your neutral base contains more vegetable glycerin (which softens flavours), we recommend adding a little more aroma to your mix (15–17%).

DIY steeping

Let your e-liquid rest for a few days to a few weeks to allow the aromas to fully develop. Some aromas require more steeping time than others:

• Simple fruit aromas: 0 to 5 days;
• Complex fruit aromas (raspberry, orange, apple, blackberry, watermelon...): 5 to 7 days;
• Menthol, spiced, vanilla or anise aromas: 10 to 15 days;
• Dessert aromas: 15 to 20 days;
• Classic aromas: approximately 15 days.

After the steeping period, test your liquid. You can adjust the flavour by adding base to reduce it or by adding more aroma to strengthen it if needed.

Storing your concentrated aroma

To preserve all the qualities of your DIY e-liquid:

• Store it in a dry place, away from light and heat;
• Note the production date and ingredients on each bottle;
• Always store your preparations out of reach of children and animals.
