The CBD e-liquid is a nicotine-free alternative to enjoy vaping whilst benefiting from the potential properties of cannabidiol (CBD), a natural component of cannabis with no psychoactive effects. It offers a relaxing vaping experience suited to everyday wellbeing.
Carefully crafted, the CBD is extracted from the cannabis plant and then diluted in a blend of propylene glycol (PG) and vegetable glycerin (VG) to ensure efficient vaporisation and optimal absorption. CBD e-liquids can be flavoured with a wide variety of flavours, ranging from fruits to more natural hemp notes.
The CBD concentration varies according to needs: it can be low for a gentle experience or higher for a more pronounced effect, allowing each user to find their ideal dosage.
The dosage refers to the amount of CBD present in each bottle. The most common:
1 to 5% i.e. 100 to 500 mg: a gentle introduction to CBD, ideal for beginners ;
10 to 20% i.e. 1000 mg to 2000 mg: intermediate concentration, moderate effect ;
50% i.e. 5,000 mg: high concentration for experienced users.
It is recommended to start with a low dosage and adjust gradually according to your needs and feelings. CBD-concentrated boosters are also available to enrich or customise your e-liquid.
Choosing the right equipment
E-cigarette or pod with moderate resistance and wattage.
Avoid high wattages: CBD degrades with excessive heat.
Vaping technique
Take short puffs and wait a few moments between each inhalation.
Vaping slowly allows you to appreciate the flavour and observe the effects of CBD.
Adjusting the concentration
Start with a low-CBD bottle.
Gradually increase until you find the ideal dosage.
CBD e-liquids are fluid and behave like e-liquids with a high propylene glycol content.

An e-liquid (or electronic cigarette liquid) is the product that generates vapour when heated by the coil of an e-cigarette. Unlike traditional cigarettes, there is no combustion. The e-liquid is composed of a base (propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin), flavourings, and optionally nicotine. It determines the taste, throat sensation, cloud production, and the overall vaping experience.
An e-liquid generally contains four elements:
Some formulas also use alternative vegetable bases (Végétol) for a smoother experience.
An e-liquid with nicotine is intended for vapers who wish to replace conventional cigarettes. Nicotine acts on the feeling of satisfaction and reduces cravings. Nicotine-free e-liquids are used either at the end of a quitting programme or purely for the pleasure of vaping, although vaping is not recommended if you are not a smoker. Choosing the right nicotine level is essential to avoid a poor experience (irritation or cravings). The nicotine dosage depends on your previous cigarette consumption. A light smoker will not have the same needs as a heavy smoker. A level that is too low can lead to frustration and relapse, while a level that is too high can cause throat discomfort. The goal is to find a balance between hit, sensation and vaping comfort, adjusting gradually as needed. A low dosage of 0, 3 or 6 mg/ml of nicotine is generally recommended for light or occasional smokers (fewer than 7 cigarettes per day), and a high dosage of 20 mg/ml nicotine salt for heavy smokers (one packet of cigarettes or more). However, this dosage can be adjusted according to your e-cigarette and your vaping style.
Nicotine salt is a more stable form of nicotine that is smoother to inhale. It provides rapid absorption with a less harsh throat hit, even at high levels. Nicotine salt e-liquids are particularly well suited to beginner vapers, former heavy smokers and low-wattage MTL kits. Various nicotine salt strengths are available. The most well-known and effective is 20 mg/ml, highly suited to heavy smokers. However, a 10 mg/ml strength may be perfectly suitable for a regular or occasional smoker.
A nicotine shot is a concentrated nicotine bottle, designed to be added to a large-format e-liquid. It allows you to adjust the final nicotine level according to the quantity added. Flexible and economical, this solution lets you boost your large-format e-liquid to 3 or 6 mg/ml of nicotine. For a 50 ml e-liquid, adding one nicotine shot will give you 3 mg/ml; two nicotine shots will turn your e-liquid into a 6 mg/ml.
The propylene glycol / vegetable glycerin ratio strongly influences the vaping experience.
The choice therefore depends on the power and compatibility with your e-cigarette. If in doubt, the most common ratio remains 50/50 PG/VG. Balanced, it allows versatile use across MTL, RDL and light DTL e-cigarette models (between approximately 15 and 40 watts).
Vegetable-based or Végétol e-liquids replace traditional propylene glycol. They are often gentler on the throat, better tolerated by vapers sensitive to PG, and offer a smoother vape without compromising on flavour. However, they should be used in MTL mode at a low wattage (minimum 30 watts) to avoid the risk of leaks and to preserve product quality.
Yes, CBD e-liquids are designed for vaping and generally contain no nicotine. They offer a different sensation, focused on relaxation, with no addictive effect. They should be used at moderate wattage to preserve product quality. A tight-draw MTL e-cigarette is recommended for use with them.
E-liquids are considered a far healthier alternative to smoked tobacco. They are formulated from ingredients certified as safe for health, unlike the 7,000 harmful substances found in traditional cigarettes. Nevertheless, to choose a safe e-liquid, a few precautions should be taken, such as buying your e-liquid from a recognised retailer like Le Vapoteur Discount or checking the composition and origin by favouring reputable and regulated brands.
An e-liquid manufactured in France meets strict requirements and European directives regarding traceability, quality control and safety. As a guarantee of quality and transparency for the consumer, French and European brands generally have their own laboratory for developing their e-liquid formulas and are required to have this formulation assessed by an independent laboratory before going to market. These steps together ensure that e-liquids are safe for vapers. French and European quality standards prohibit undesirable substances and provide a more secure framework for vaping.
To keep your e-liquid as long as possible and preserve its quality, taste and colour, store it in its original bottle and ideally away from light, heat and air. Despite these precautions, it may happen that the e-liquid takes on a slightly brown tint. Safe and suitable for consumption, this colour is due to the oxidation of nicotine and may also depend on the flavouring used in the e-liquid. It is generally recommended not to keep the same e-liquid for more than 5 days in your clearomiser or pod cartridge if you are not using it, to avoid leaks and excessive oxidation.
The DLUO (Best Before Date) or BBD (Best By Date) is an indicative date. Once the e-liquid's date has passed, it may lose its taste qualities and appearance (colour, fluidity). An e-liquid fresh from the factory will have a BBD of approximately 2 years. Even past the BBD, the e-liquid remains suitable for vaping and will not be harmful to health.
