The CBD e-liquid is a nicotine-free alternative to enjoy vaping whilst benefiting from the potential properties of cannabidiol (CBD), a natural component of cannabis with no psychoactive effects. It provides a relaxing vaping experience tailored to everyday well-being.
Carefully crafted, the CBD is extracted from the cannabis plant and then diluted in a blend of propylene glycol (PG) and vegetable glycerine (VG) to ensure efficient vaporisation and optimal absorption. CBD e-liquids can be flavoured with a wide variety of flavours, ranging from fruits to more natural hemp notes.
The CBD concentration varies according to needs: it can be low for a mild experience or higher for a more pronounced effect, allowing each user to find their ideal dosage.
The dosage refers to the amount of CBD present in each bottle. The most common:
1 to 5% i.e. 100 to 500 mg: a gentle introduction to CBD, ideal for beginners ;
10 to 20% i.e. 1000 mg to 2000 mg: intermediate concentration, moderate effect ;
50% i.e. 5,000 mg: high concentration for experienced users.
It is recommended to start with a low dosage and gradually adjust according to your needs and feelings. CBD-concentrated boosters are also available to enrich or personalise your e-liquid.
Choosing the right equipment
Electronic cigarette or pod with moderate coils and wattage.
Avoid high wattages: CBD degrades with excessive heat.
Vaping technique
Take short puffs and wait a few moments between each inhalation.
Vaping slowly allows you to appreciate the flavour and observe the effects of CBD.
Adjusting the concentration
Start with a low-CBD bottle.
Gradually increase until you find the ideal dosage.
CBD e-liquids are fluid and behave like e-liquids high in propylene glycol.

An e-liquid (or electronic cigarette liquid) is the product that generates vapour when heated by the coil of an electronic cigarette. Unlike traditional cigarettes, there is no combustion. The e-liquid is made up of a base (propylene glycol and vegetable glycerine), flavourings, and optionally nicotine. It determines the taste, throat sensation, cloud production, and overall vaping experience.
An e-liquid generally contains four elements:
Some formulas also use alternative plant-based bases (Végétol) for a smoother experience.
An e-liquid with nicotine is intended for vapers who wish to replace traditional cigarettes. Nicotine acts on the sensation of satisfaction and reduces cravings. Nicotine-free e-liquids are used either at the end of a cessation process or purely for the enjoyment of vaping, although vaping is not recommended if you are not a smoker. Choosing the right nicotine level is essential to avoid a poor experience (irritation or cravings). The nicotine dosage depends on your previous cigarette consumption. A light smoker will not have the same needs as a heavy smoker. A level that is too low can lead to frustration and relapse, while a level that is too high can cause throat discomfort. The aim is to find the right balance between hit, sensation, and vaping comfort, adjusting gradually as needed. A low dosage of 0, 3, or 6 mg/ml of nicotine is generally recommended for light or occasional smokers (fewer than 7 cigarettes per day), and a high dosage of 20 mg/ml nicotine salt for heavy smokers (one pack of cigarettes or more). However, this dosage can be adjusted depending on your electronic cigarette and your vaping style.
Nicotine salt is a more stable form of nicotine that is smoother to inhale. It provides rapid absorption with a less harsh throat hit, even at high strengths. Nicotine salt e-liquids are particularly suited to beginner vapers, former heavy smokers, and low-wattage MTL kits. Nicotine salts are available in various strengths. The most well-known and effective is 20 mg/ml, which is very well suited to heavy smokers. However, a strength of 10 mg/ml can work very well for a regular or occasional smoker.
A nicotine booster is a nicotine-concentrated bottle designed to be added to a large-format e-liquid. It allows you to adjust the final nicotine strength depending on the quantity added. Flexible and cost-effective, this solution lets you boost your large-format e-liquid to 3 or 6 mg/ml of nicotine. For a 50 ml e-liquid, adding one nicotine booster will give you 3 mg/ml; adding two nicotine boosters will bring your e-liquid to 6 mg/ml.
The propylene glycol / vegetable glycerin ratio has a strong influence on the vaping experience.
The choice therefore depends on the wattage and compatibility with your e-cigarette. If in doubt, the most common ratio remains 50/50 PG/VG. Well-balanced, it allows versatile use across MTL, RDL, and light DTL e-cigarette models (approximately between 15 and 40 watts).
Plant-based or Végétol e-liquids replace traditional propylene glycol. They are often gentler on the throat, better tolerated by vapers who are sensitive to PG, and offer a smoother vape without compromising on flavour. However, they should be used in MTL mode at low wattage (minimum 30 watts) to avoid the risk of leaks and to preserve product quality.
Yes, CBD e-liquids are designed for vaping and generally contain no nicotine. They offer a different sensation, focused on relaxation, with no addictive effect. They should be used at moderate wattage to preserve the quality of the product. A tight-draw MTL electronic cigarette is recommended for use with them.
E-liquids are considered a far healthier alternative to smoked tobacco. They are formulated from ingredients certified as safe for health, unlike the 7,000 harmful substances found in traditional cigarettes. Nevertheless, to choose a safe e-liquid, a few precautions should be taken, such as buying your e-liquid from a recognised retailer such as Le Vapoteur Discount, or checking the composition and origin by favouring reputable and regulated brands.
An e-liquid manufactured in France meets strict requirements and European directives regarding traceability, quality control, and safety. As a guarantee of quality and transparency for the consumer, French and European brands generally have their own laboratory for developing their e-liquid formulas and are required to have those formulas tested by an independent laboratory before going to market. These steps ensure that e-liquids are safe for vapers. French and European quality standards prohibit undesirable substances and provide a more secure framework for vaping.
To keep your e-liquid as long as possible and preserve its quality, taste, and colour, store it in its original bottle, ideally away from light, heat, and air. Despite these precautions, the e-liquid may take on a slightly brown tint. Harmless and safe to use, this colour is caused by the oxidation of nicotine and may also depend on the flavouring used in the e-liquid. It is generally advised not to keep the same e-liquid in your clearomiser or pod cartridge for more than 5 days if you are not using it, in order to avoid leaks and excessive oxidation.
The BBE (Best Before End) date, also known as the minimum durability date, is an indicative date. Once an e-liquid passes this date, it may lose its flavour qualities and appearance (colour, consistency). An e-liquid straight from the factory will have a BBE of around 2 years. Even past its BBE date, the e-liquid remains safe to vape and will not be harmful to health.
