CBD: how to dose it?
Le Vapoteur Discount explains how to dose your CBD products!
You have purchased your first CBD-based product, but you don't know how much to take, or how often? Le Vapoteur Discount explains everything you need to know to correctly dose your CBD, whatever derivative you choose!
CBD oils are available in different dosages, generally ranging from 5 to 30%. You should calculate your ideal dosage by taking into account your CBD needs (low, moderate, or high), as well as your body weight. Each individual also has a greater or lesser sensitivity to the molecule, which can also influence the recommended quantity. Depending on your state of health, you can therefore establish your needs, which can range from 0.5 mg to 1.5 mg of CBD per kilogram of body weight.
For example, if you weigh 80 kilograms and estimate that you have moderate needs (1 mg/kg), you will need to consume 80 mg of CBD per day. However, a 10 ml bottle of CBD oil at 20% contains 2000 mg of CBD, which is 10 mg per drop. You will therefore need to take 8 drops per day. Another example: if you weigh 70 kilograms and are just starting out (0.5 mg/kg), you can make do with a dose of 35 mg/kg. A 10 ml bottle of CBD oil at 10% contains 1000 mg of CBD, which is 5 mg per drop. The ideal dosage in this case would be 7 drops per day.
If you prefer to use your e-cigarette and a CBD-based e-liquid, the same calculation applies to find your preferred dosage! LVD offers e-liquids containing between 100 and 1000 mg of CBD per bottle, as well as boosters of up to 3000 mg.
Furthermore, the concentration is directly indicated on your product and expressed as a percentage when you buy CBD in the form of a flower, resin, or crystals. This indicator corresponds to a dosage in mg/g. For example, if your flower contains 15% CBD, this is equivalent to 150 mg of CBD per gram of flower. By always applying the same formula (0.5 to 1.5 mg x body weight in kg), you will be able to determine the ideal daily quantity for your situation.
The CBD content is also individually indicated on boxes of capsules and other food derivatives or CBD drinks, for simplified dosing. If you prefer to use a cosmetic product based on CBD, you can follow the dosage instructions on the packaging or the product leaflet.
Whatever product you choose, it is recommended to spread the daily dose over 3 intakes if you are following a preventive therapy. For example, in the morning, at noon, and in the evening, to enjoy the benefits of CBD throughout the day, as they last an average of 6 hours. If you inhale or vape CBD, you will need to repeat the process more often as the effects last less long (up to 3 hours). You can also consume CBD occasionally during anxiety attacks or bouts of insomnia, for example.
Finally, the golden rule when you are starting out is to opt for products with a low CBD dosage, then progressively adjust the dosage if necessary. On the other hand, if you have a particular medical condition and are undergoing drug treatment, it is preferable to follow the prescriptions of your doctor and to go with the solution they recommend, or failing that, an equivalent.
