The advantage of a concentrated flavoring for DIY

The DIY concentrated flavoring gives you total creative freedom and excellent value for money. By preparing your own e-liquid, you obtain personalized flavors perfectly tailored to your tastes, while controlling your nicotine dosage and composition.

It is also a more economical solution: a single bottle of flavoring allows you to prepare several tens of milliliters of e-liquid, at a lower cost than ready-to-vape e-liquids.

For demanding and creative vaping enthusiasts, DIY is a fun, customizable and cost-effective experience.

Required equipment

To create your own DIY e-liquid, you will need these elements:

• A concentrated flavoring for DIY;
• A neutral PG/VG base (with or without nicotine);
• An additive (optional);
• One or more empty bottles to transport your mixes;
• A pipette or a graduated bottle;
• Latex gloves and safety glasses if you need to handle nicotine.

Before any handling, make sure to work on a clean surface out of reach of children and animals.

DIY flavoring dosage

A concentrated flavoring must be diluted in a PG/VG base. It should never be vaped on its own.

Depending on the manufacturer, a DIY flavoring can have a different dilution rate, always expressed as a percentage: 4%, 10%, 15%, 20% or 25%.

Concretely, in our 200 ml DIY Pack, this would give:

In a 50/50 PG/VG base

• 4% of the total volume = 8 ml of flavoring to add to your 200 ml base
• 10% of the total volume = 20 ml of flavoring to add to your 200 ml base
• 15% of the total volume = 30 ml of flavoring to add to your 200 ml base
• 20% of the total volume = 40 ml of flavoring to add to your 200 ml base
• 25% of the total volume = 50 ml of flavoring to add to your 200 ml base

In a 70/30 PG/VG base

If your neutral base contains more propylene glycol (flavor enhancer), we recommend reducing the dosage of your flavoring (from 12 to 15%).

In a 30/70 PG/VG base

If your neutral base contains more vegetable glycerin (which softens flavors), we recommend adding a little more flavoring to your mix (from 15 to 17%).

DIY steeping

Let your e-liquid rest for a few days to a few weeks to allow the flavors to fully develop. Some flavors require more steeping time than others:

• Simple fruit flavors: 0 to 5 days;
• Complex fruit flavors (raspberry, orange, apple, blackberry, watermelon...): 5 to 7 days;
• Menthol, spiced, vanilla or anise flavors: 10 to 15 days;
• Dessert flavors: 15 to 20 days;
• Classic flavors: approximately 15 days.

After the steeping period, test your liquid. You can adjust the flavor by adding base to reduce it or adding flavoring to strengthen it if necessary.

Storage of your concentrated flavoring

To preserve all the qualities of your DIY e-liquid:

• Store it in a dry place, away from light and heat;
• Note the manufacturing date and ingredients on each bottle;
• Always store your preparations out of reach of children and animals.
