The Le Vapoteur Discount guide for your 50 ml e-liquid

Why choose a nicotine-free 50 ml e-liquid?

An e-liquid is a consumable exclusively intended for the e-cigarette. The 50 ml format is particularly popular among regular vapers for its value for money. It allows you to vape for longer whilst reducing the need for repeated purchases.

50 ml e-liquids are packaged in shortfill format.
They contain no nicotine at the time of purchase, but leave enough space in the bottle to add one or two nicotine boosters, depending on the desired dosage.

Practical, economical and flexible, the 50 ml format is suitable for vapers at 0 mg, 3 mg or 6 mg/ml, who wish to enjoy their favourite flavour for longer, without compromise.

How to add nicotine to a 50 ml e-liquid?

A 50 ml e-liquid can perfectly be vaped without nicotine.
However, if you are an occasional or moderate smoker, adding nicotine boosters allows you to adapt your e-liquid to your needs, simply and quickly.

To obtain an e-liquid at 3 mg/ml

  1. Take your 50 ml bottle and one nicotine booster at 20 mg/ml;
  2. Pour the entire booster into the bottle;
  3. Close the bottle (you now have 60 ml) and shake vigorously for a few seconds;
  4. Wait 1 to 2 minutes before use.

You obtain a ready-to-vape e-liquid at 3 mg/ml.

To obtain an e-liquid at 6 mg/ml

  1. Take your 50 ml bottle and two nicotine boosters at 20 mg/ml;
  2. Add both boosters into the bottle;
  3. Close the bottle (you now have 70 ml) and shake thoroughly;
  4. Wait 1 to 2 minutes before vaping.

You obtain a ready-to-use e-liquid at 6 mg/ml.

These bottles are designed to accommodate up to 2 boosters. If you wish to use a higher dosage or a personalised recipe, we recommend using large-format bottles (Chubby Gorilla or 120 ml graduated bottles).

Choosing the right equipment for an e-liquid rich in vegetable glycerin VG (30/70 and 20/80)

E-liquids with a dominant vegetable glycerin (VG) base are distinguished by their thicker texture and their ability to produce dense and generous vapour. They offer a smoother throat sensation and are particularly popular with vapers who enjoy direct lung (DL) vaping and large clouds.

E-cigarette

Due to their high viscosity, these e-liquids require powerful subohm e-cigarettes, such as:

Pods

Clearomisers

For optimal e-liquid feed and to avoid dry hits, it is recommended to use subohm clearomisers, designed for thick liquids:

Coils

Low coils, ranging between 0.15 ohm and 0.4 ohm, are ideal for efficiently vaporising an e-liquid rich in VG.

Drip tip

A drip tip with a wide 810 format is recommended to facilitate direct inhalation and the passage of a large volume of vapour.

Power setting

E-liquids rich in VG perform best at high wattage.
Vaping above 40 watts is recommended, whilst of course following the coil manufacturer's guidelines.

Maintaining your e-cigarette properly

To make the most of your 50 ml e-liquid and extend the life of your equipment:

  • Clean your clearomiser and drip tip regularly to avoid the build-up of residue;
  • Replace the coil as soon as the flavours deteriorate or the vapour decreases (on average every 2 to 3 weeks);
  • Avoid leaving a tank filled with the same e-liquid for more than 5 days without use, in order to limit the risk of leaks or flavour deterioration.

Usage precautions

  • If you do not smoke, do not vape;
  • Product containing nicotine: prohibited for minors, not recommended for pregnant women or people suffering from cardiovascular disorders or hypertension;
  • In case of allergies, check for the possible presence of allergens (limonene, tree nuts, etc.) indicated on the label;
  • In case of skin contact, rinse thoroughly with water and soap;
  • Store your e-liquids in a dry place, away from light and temperature fluctuations, out of reach of children and animals.

Think about recycling: empty bottles must be disposed of through appropriate channels.

FAQ

An e-liquid (or electronic cigarette liquid) is the product that generates vapour when heated by the coil of an electronic cigarette. Unlike traditional cigarettes, there is no combustion. The e-liquid is composed of a base (propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin), flavourings, and optionally nicotine. It determines the taste, the throat sensation, the cloud production, and the overall vaping experience.

An e-liquid generally contains four elements:

  • propylene glycol (PG), which carries the flavourings, enhances the throat hit and delivers a sensation close to that of a cigarette;
  • vegetable glycerin (VG), responsible for the vapour and the density of the cloud;
  • flavourings, which provide the taste (fruit, mint, classic blonde, dessert, ice…);
  • nicotine, optional, which helps manage cravings for vapers who are quitting.

Some formulas also use alternative plant-based bases (Végétol) for added smoothness.

An e-liquid with nicotine is intended for vapers who wish to replace traditional cigarettes. Nicotine acts on the feeling of satisfaction and reduces cravings. Nicotine-free e-liquids are used either at the end of a cessation programme, or purely for the pleasure of vaping, although it is not recommended to vape if you are not a smoker. Choosing the right nicotine level is essential to avoid a poor experience (irritation or cravings). The nicotine dosage depends on your previous cigarette consumption. A light smoker will not have the same needs as a heavy smoker. A level that is too low can lead to frustration and relapse, while a level that is too high can cause throat discomfort. The aim is to find a balance between hit, sensation and vaping comfort, adjusting gradually as needed. A low dosage of 0, 3 or 6 mg/ml of nicotine is generally recommended for light smokers or occasional smokers (fewer than 7 cigarettes per day), and a high dosage of 20 mg/ml of nicotine salt for a heavy smoker (1 pack of cigarettes or more). However, this dosage can be adjusted depending on your e-cigarette and the way you vape.

Nicotine salt is a more stable form of nicotine that is gentler to inhale. It provides rapid absorption with a less harsh throat hit, even at high levels. Nicotine salt e-liquids are particularly suited to beginner vapers, former heavy smokers and low-power MTL kits. Various nicotine salt dosages are available. The best known and most effective is 20 mg/ml, which is highly suitable for heavy smokers. However, a dosage of 10 mg/ml can work very well for a regular or occasional smoker.

A nicotine booster is a nicotine-concentrated bottle designed to be added to a large-format e-liquid. It allows you to adjust the final nicotine level according to the quantity added. Flexible and cost-effective, this solution lets you boost your large-format e-liquid to 3 or 6 mg/ml of nicotine. For a 50 ml e-liquid, adding one nicotine booster will give you 3 mg/ml, while two nicotine boosters will bring your e-liquid up to 6 mg/ml.

The propylene glycol / vegetable glycerin ratio has a strong influence on the vaping experience.

  • An e-liquid rich in propylene glycol or PG (70/30, 80/20) enhances the hit, flavour precision and discreet vaping. The e-liquid will be thin and compatible only with tight-draw MTL equipment to avoid leaks.
  • An e-liquid rich in vegetable glycerin or VG (30/70) produces more vapour and clouds, with a smoother, sweeter sensation. This thicker e-liquid will be compatible with sub-ohm or shisha-type e-cigarettes, producing large vapour clouds at high power.

The choice therefore depends on the power and compatibility with your e-cigarette. If in doubt, the most common ratio remains 50/50 PG/VG. Balanced, it allows versatile use across MTL, RDL and light DTL e-cigarette models (between approximately 15 and 40 watts).

Plant-based e-liquids or those made with Végétol replace traditional propylene glycol. They are often gentler on the throat, better tolerated by vapers who are sensitive to PG, and offer a smoother vaping experience without compromising on flavour. However, they should be used in MTL mode at low power (minimum 30 watts) to avoid the risk of leaks and to preserve the quality of the product.

Yes, CBD e-liquids are designed for vaping and generally contain no nicotine. They offer a different sensation, focused on relaxation, with no addictive effect. They should be used at moderate wattage to preserve the quality of the product. For best results, use them with a tight-draw MTL electronic cigarette.

E-liquids are considered a much healthier alternative to smoked tobacco. They are formulated from ingredients certified as safe for health, unlike the 7,000 harmful substances found in traditional cigarettes. Nevertheless, to choose a safe e-liquid, a few precautions should be taken, such as purchasing your e-liquid from a recognised retailer like Le Vapoteur Discount or checking the composition and origin by favouring reputable and regulated brands.

An e-liquid manufactured in France meets strict requirements and European directives regarding traceability, quality control and safety. As a guarantee of quality and transparency for the consumer, French and European brands generally have their own laboratory for developing their e-liquid formula and are required to have that formulation assessed by an independent laboratory before it goes to market. All these steps ensure that e-liquids are safe for vapers. These French and European quality standards prohibit undesirable substances and provide a more secure framework for vaping.

To keep your e-liquid as long as possible and preserve its quality, taste and colour, it should be kept in its original bottle and ideally away from light, heat and air. Despite these precautions, the e-liquid may take on a slightly brown tint. Safe and suitable for consumption, this colour is due to the oxidation of nicotine and may also depend on the flavouring used in the e-liquid. It is generally recommended not to keep the same e-liquid for more than 5 days in your clearomiser or pod cartridge if you are not using it, to avoid leaks and excessive oxidation.

The BBD (Best Before Date) or MHD (Minimum Durability Date) is an indicative date. Once the e-liquid's date has passed, it may lose its flavour qualities and appearance (colour, consistency). An e-liquid fresh from the factory will have a BBD of approximately 2 years. Even past its BBD, the e-liquid remains suitable for vaporisation and will not be harmful to health.
