The Le Vapoteur Discount guide for your 50 ml e-liquid

Why choose a 50 ml e-liquid without nicotine?

An e-liquid is a consumable exclusively designed for the e-cigarette. The 50 ml format is particularly popular among regular vapers for its value for money. It allows you to vape for longer while reducing the need for repeated purchases.

50 ml e-liquids are packaged in a ready-to-boost format.
They contain no nicotine at purchase, but leave enough space in the bottle to add one or two nicotine boosters, depending on the desired dosage.

Practical, cost-effective and flexible, the 50 ml is suitable for vapers at 0 mg, 3 mg or 6 mg/ml, who want to enjoy their favourite flavour for longer, without compromise.

How to add nicotine to a 50 ml e-liquid?

A 50 ml e-liquid can perfectly be vaped without nicotine.
However, if you are an occasional or moderate smoker, adding nicotine boosters allows you to adapt your e-liquid to your needs, simply and quickly.

To obtain an e-liquid at 3 mg/ml

  1. Get your 50 ml bottle and one nicotine booster at 20 mg/ml ;
  2. Pour the entire booster into the bottle ;
  3. Close the bottle (you now have 60 ml) and shake vigorously for a few seconds ;
  4. Wait 1 to 2 minutes before use.

You get an e-liquid ready to vape at 3 mg/ml.

To obtain an e-liquid at 6 mg/ml

  1. Get your 50 ml bottle and two nicotine boosters at 20 mg/ml ;
  2. Add both boosters to the bottle ;
  3. Close the bottle (you now have 70 ml) and shake thoroughly ;
  4. Wait 1 to 2 minutes before vaping.

You get a ready-to-use e-liquid at 6 mg/ml.

These bottles are designed to hold up to 2 boosters. If you want a higher dosage or a personalised recipe, we recommend using large-format bottles (Chubby Gorilla or graduated 120 ml bottles).

Choosing equipment for an e-liquid rich in vegetable glycerin VG (30/70 and 20/80)

E-liquids with a dominant vegetable glycerin (VG) base stand out for their thicker texture and their ability to produce dense and generous vapour. They offer a smoother throat feel and are particularly appreciated by vapers who enjoy direct lung (DL) vaping and large clouds.

E-cigarette

Due to their high viscosity, these e-liquids require powerful subohm e-cigarettes, such as:

Pods

Clearomizers

For optimal e-liquid feeding and to avoid dry hits, it is recommended to use subohm clearomizers, designed for thick liquids:

Coils

Low coils, between 0.15 ohm and 0.4 ohm, are ideal for efficiently vaporising an e-liquid rich in VG.

Drip tip

A drip tip wide 810 format is recommended to facilitate direct inhalation and the passage of a large volume of vapour.

Power setting

E-liquids rich in VG are best enjoyed at high power.
Vaping above 40 watts is recommended, while of course respecting the coil manufacturer's guidelines.

Maintaining your e-cigarette

To fully enjoy your 50 ml e-liquid and extend the life of your equipment:

  • Clean your clearomizer and drip tip regularly to prevent the build-up of residue ;
  • Replace the coil as soon as flavours deteriorate or vapour decreases (on average every 2 to 3 weeks) ;
  • Avoid leaving a filled tank with the same e-liquid for more than 5 days without use, to limit the risk of leaks or flavour degradation.

Usage precautions

  • If you don't smoke, don't vape ;
  • Product containing nicotine: prohibited for minors, not recommended for pregnant women or people with cardiovascular disorders or high blood pressure ;
  • In case of allergies, check for the possible presence of allergens (limonene, tree nuts, etc.) indicated on the label ;
  • In case of skin contact, rinse thoroughly with water and soap ;
  • Store your e-liquids in a dry place, away from light and temperature variations, out of reach of children and animals.

Think about recycling: empty bottles must be disposed of through the appropriate channels.

FAQ

An e-liquid (or electronic cigarette liquid) is the product that generates vapour when heated by the coil of an electronic cigarette. Unlike traditional cigarettes, there is no combustion. The e-liquid is composed of a base (propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin), flavourings, and optionally nicotine. It is what determines the taste, throat sensation, cloud production, and the overall vaping experience.

An e-liquid generally contains four elements:

  • propylene glycol (PG), which carries the flavours, enhances the throat hit, and provides a sensation close to that of a cigarette;
  • vegetable glycerin (VG), responsible for the vapour and the density of the cloud;
  • flavourings, which provide the taste (fruit, mint, classic tobacco, dessert, ice, etc.);
  • nicotine, optional, which helps manage cravings in vapers who are cutting down.

Some formulas also use alternative vegetable bases (Végétol) for extra smoothness.

An e-liquid with nicotine is intended for vapers who wish to replace traditional cigarettes. Nicotine acts on the feeling of satisfaction and limits cravings. Nicotine-free e-liquids are used either at the end of a cessation programme or purely for the pleasure of vaping, although it is not recommended to vape if you are not a smoker. Choosing the right nicotine level is essential to avoid a poor experience (irritation or cravings). The nicotine dosage depends on your previous cigarette consumption. A light smoker will not have the same needs as a heavy smoker. A level that is too low can lead to frustration and relapse, whilst a level that is too high can cause throat discomfort. The goal is to find a balance between throat hit, sensation, and vaping comfort, adjusting gradually if needed. A low dosage of 0, 3 or 6 mg/ml of nicotine is generally recommended for light smokers or occasional smokers (fewer than 7 cigarettes per day), and a high dosage of 20 mg/ml of nicotine salt for heavy smokers (1 packet of cigarettes or more). However, this dosage can be adjusted depending on your e-cigarette and the way you vape.

Nicotine salt is a more stable form of nicotine that is gentler on inhalation. It provides rapid absorption, with a less aggressive throat hit, even at high levels. Nicotine salt e-liquids are particularly suited to beginner vapers, former heavy smokers and low-wattage MTL kits. Various nicotine salt dosages are available. The best-known and most effective is 20 mg/ml, very well suited to heavy smokers. However, a 10 mg/ml dosage can work very well for regular or occasional smokers.

A nicotine booster is a nicotine-concentrated bottle designed to be added to a large-format e-liquid. It allows you to adjust the final nicotine level according to the quantity added. Flexible and cost-effective, this solution allows you to boost your large-format e-liquid to 3 or 6 mg/ml of nicotine. For a 50 ml e-liquid, adding one nicotine booster will give you 3 mg/ml, whilst adding two nicotine boosters will bring your e-liquid up to 6 mg/ml.

The propylene glycol / vegetable glycerin ratio strongly influences the vape.

  • An e-liquid rich in propylene glycol or PG (70/30, 80/20) enhances the throat hit, flavour accuracy and a discreet vape. The e-liquid will be fluid and compatible only with MTL equipment with a tight draw to avoid leaks.
  • An e-liquid rich in vegetable glycerin or VG (30/70) produces more vapour and clouds, with a smoother, sweeter sensation. This thicker e-liquid will be compatible with sub-ohm or shisha-type electronic cigarettes, producing large clouds of vapour at high wattage.

The choice therefore depends on the power and compatibility with your electronic cigarette. If in doubt, the most common ratio remains 50/50 PG/VG. Balanced, it allows versatile use on MTL, RDL and light DTL electronic cigarette models (between approximately 15 and 40 watts).

E-liquids with a vegetable base or containing Végétol replace traditional propylene glycol. They are often gentler on the throat, better tolerated by vapers who are sensitive to PG, and provide a smoother vape without compromising on flavour. However, they should be used in MTL mode at low wattage (minimum 30 watts) to avoid the risk of leaks and to preserve the quality of the product.

Yes, CBD e-liquids are designed for vaping and generally do not contain nicotine. They offer a different sensation, focused on relaxation, with no addictive effect. They should be used at moderate wattage to preserve the quality of the product. An MTL e-cigarette with a tight draw is recommended for use with them.

E-liquids are considered a far healthier alternative to smoked tobacco. They are formulated from ingredients certified as safe for health, unlike the 7,000 harmful substances found in traditional cigarettes. Nevertheless, to choose a safe e-liquid, a few precautions should be taken, such as purchasing your e-liquid from a recognised retailer like Le Vapoteur Discount, or checking the composition and origin by favouring reputable and regulated brands.

An e-liquid manufactured in France adheres to strict requirements and European directives regarding traceability, quality control, and safety. As a guarantee of quality and transparency for the consumer, French and European brands generally have their own laboratory for developing their e-liquid formula and are required to have that formulation assessed by an independent laboratory before bringing it to market. All of these steps ensure that e-liquids are safe for vapers. These French and European quality standards prohibit undesirable substances and provide a more secure framework for vaping.

To keep your e-liquid for as long as possible and preserve its quality, taste, and colour, you should store it in its original bottle, ideally away from light, heat, and air. Despite these precautions, the e-liquid may sometimes take on a slightly brown tint. This is harmless and safe for consumption; the colour is caused by the oxidation of nicotine and may also depend on the flavouring used in the e-liquid. It is generally advisable not to keep the same e-liquid for more than 5 days in your clearomiser or pod cartridge if you are not using it, in order to avoid leaks and excessive oxidation.

The DLUO (Date Limite d'Utilisation Optimale) or BBD (Best Before Date) is an indicative date. Once the e-liquid's date has passed, it may lose its flavour qualities and its appearance (colour, fluidity). An e-liquid straight from the factory will have a BBD of approximately 2 years. Even past its BBD, the e-liquid remains suitable for vaping and will not be harmful to health.
