An e-liquid is a consumable exclusively intended for use with an electronic cigarette. The 50 ml format is particularly popular among regular vapers for its value for money. It allows you to vape for longer, while reducing the need for repeated purchases.
50 ml e-liquids are packaged in ready-to-boost format.
They contain no nicotine at the time of purchase, but leave enough space in the bottle to add one or two nicotine boosters, depending on the desired dosage.
Practical, cost-effective and flexible, the 50 ml format is suitable for vapers at 0 mg, 3 mg or 6 mg/ml, who wish to enjoy their favourite flavour for longer, without compromise.
A 50 ml e-liquid can perfectly be vaped without nicotine.
However, if you are an occasional or moderate smoker, adding nicotine boosters allows you to tailor your e-liquid to your needs, quickly and easily.
You will obtain an e-liquid ready to vape at 3 mg/ml.
You will obtain a ready-to-use e-liquid at 6 mg/ml.
These bottles are designed to hold up to 2 boosters. If you would like a higher dosage or a personalised recipe, we recommend using large-format bottles (Chubby Gorilla or graduated 120 ml bottles).
The 50/50 PG/VG ratio is one of the most versatile on the market. It offers an excellent compromise between flavour delivery, moderate throat hit and reasonable vapour production. It is a reassuring choice, both for beginner vapers and for those seeking a simple and effective everyday vape.
Thanks to its balanced viscosity, a 50/50 e-liquid is compatible with the majority of versatile electronic cigarettes, in particular:
This ratio also works very well with modern pods, appreciated for their simplicity and discretion:
For a stable and hassle-free vape, opt for versatile clearomisers capable of handling different inhalation styles:
The coil resistance value should ideally be between 0.4 ohm and 1.2 ohm, for an adaptable, economical and enjoyable vape.
A standard 510 drip tip is generally recommended. Some vapers also use this ratio with more airflow-friendly 810 drip tips without experiencing any leaks, depending on the equipment used.
A 50/50 PG/VG e-liquid suits a wide power range, generally between 10 and 40 watts, depending on the installed coil and the type of draw desired.
To make the most of your 50 ml e-liquid and extend the lifespan of your equipment:
Think about recycling: empty bottles should be disposed of through appropriate recycling channels.

An e-liquid (or liquid for e-cigarettes) is the product that generates vapour when heated by the coil of an e-cigarette. Unlike traditional cigarettes, there is no combustion. The e-liquid is composed of a base (propylene glycol and vegetable glycerine), flavourings, and optionally nicotine. It determines the taste, the throat sensation, the cloud production, and the overall vaping experience.
An e-liquid generally contains four elements:
Some formulas also use alternative plant-based bases (Végétol) for extra smoothness.
An e-liquid with nicotine is intended for vapers who wish to replace the traditional cigarette. Nicotine acts on the feeling of satisfaction and limits cravings. E-liquids without nicotine are used either at the end of the cessation process, or purely for the pleasure of vaping, even though it is not recommended to vape if you are not a smoker. Choosing the right nicotine level is essential to avoid a poor experience (irritation or cravings). The nicotine dosage depends on your previous cigarette consumption. A light smoker will not have the same needs as a heavy smoker. A level that is too low can lead to frustration and relapse, while a level that is too high can cause throat discomfort. The goal is to find the right balance between throat hit, sensation and vaping comfort, even if it means adjusting gradually. A low dosage of 0, 3 or 6 mg/ml of nicotine is generally recommended for light smokers or occasional smokers (fewer than 7 cigarettes per day), and a high dosage of 20 mg/ml of nicotine salt for a heavy smoker (1 packet of cigarettes or more). However, this dosage can be adjusted according to your e-cigarette and your vaping style.
Nicotine salt is a more stable form of nicotine that is smoother to inhale. It provides rapid absorption with a less harsh throat hit, even at high strengths. Nicotine salt e-liquids are particularly suited to beginner vapers, former heavy smokers, and low-wattage MTL kits. Various nicotine salt strengths are available. The best known and most effective is 20 mg/ml, which is well suited to heavy smokers. However, a strength of 10 mg/ml can work very well for a regular or occasional smoker.
A nicotine booster is a nicotine-concentrated bottle designed to be added to a large-format e-liquid. It allows you to adjust the final nicotine level according to the quantity added. Flexible and economical, this solution allows you to boost your large-format e-liquid to 3 or 6 mg/ml of nicotine. For a 50 ml e-liquid, adding one nicotine booster will give you 3 mg/ml, while two nicotine boosters will bring your e-liquid to 6 mg/ml.
The propylene glycol / vegetable glycerin ratio has a strong influence on the vaping experience.
The choice therefore depends on the wattage and compatibility with your electronic cigarette. If in doubt, the most common ratio remains 50/50 PG/VG. Well-balanced, it allows versatile use across MTL, RDL, and light DTL electronic cigarette models (approximately between 15 and 40 watts).
Plant-based or Végétol e-liquids replace traditional propylene glycol. They are often gentler on the throat, better tolerated by vapers sensitive to PG, and offer a smoother vape without compromising on flavour. However, they should be used in MTL at low power (minimum 30 watts) to avoid the risk of leaks and to preserve the quality of the product.
Yes, CBD e-liquids are designed for vaping and generally do not contain nicotine. They offer a different sensation, focused on relaxation, with no addictive effect. They should be used at moderate power to preserve the quality of the product. We recommend using them with an MTL e-cigarette with a tight draw.
E-liquids are considered a much healthier alternative to smoked tobacco. They are formulated from ingredients certified as safe for health, unlike the 7,000 harmful substances found in traditional cigarettes. Nevertheless, to choose a safe e-liquid, a few precautions should be taken, such as purchasing your e-liquid from a recognised retailer like Le Vapoteur Discount, or checking the composition and origin by favouring reputable and regulated brands.
An e-liquid manufactured in France meets strict requirements and European directives regarding traceability, quality control and safety. As a mark of quality and transparency for the consumer, French and European brands generally have their own laboratory for developing their e-liquid formula and are required to have that formulation assessed by an independent laboratory before bringing it to market. All these steps guarantee e-liquids that are safe for vapers. These French and European quality standards prohibit undesirable substances and provide a more secure framework for vaping.
To keep your e-liquid for as long as possible and preserve its quality, taste and colour, store it in its original bottle and ideally away from light, heat and air. Despite these precautions, the e-liquid may take on a slightly brown tint. Safe and suitable for use, this colour is caused by the oxidation of nicotine and may also depend on the flavouring used in the e-liquid. It is generally advised not to keep the same e-liquid for more than 5 days in your clearomiser or pod cartridge if you are not using it, to avoid leaks and excessive oxidation.
The BBD (Best Before Date) or MHD (Minimum Durability Date) is an indicative date. Once the e-liquid's date has passed, it may lose its taste qualities and appearance (colour, fluidity). An e-liquid fresh from the factory will have a BBD of approximately 2 years. Even past its BBD, the e-liquid remains suitable for vaporisation and will not be harmful to health.
