The Le Vapoteur Discount guide for your 100 ml e-liquid

Why choose a 100 ml nicotine-free e-liquid?

An e-liquid is a consumable exclusively intended for the e-cigarette. The 100 ml format is aimed at regular and experienced vapers who wish to enjoy their favourite flavour in a very large format, without having to restock too often.

Cost-effective in the long run, the 100 ml allows you to reduce the cost per millilitre, while limiting packaging and repeated refills. Like 50 ml formats, it is offered in a ready-to-boost version: nicotine-free at purchase, but with enough space to add several boosters according to the desired strength.

It's the ideal format for intensive vapers, fans of "all-day" flavours, or those who simply want to vape for longer, with complete peace of mind.

Fewer constraints, more autonomy, more enjoyment: the 100 ml ticks all the boxes for a comfortable and economical vape.

How to add nicotine to a 100 ml e-liquid?

A 100 ml e-liquid can be vaped as is, without nicotine.
However, for occasional to moderate smokers, it is possible to add nicotine boosters at 20 mg/ml to obtain a suitable dosage, without altering the flavours.

To obtain an e-liquid at 1.5 mg/ml

  1. Take your 100 ml bottle and one nicotine booster at 20 mg/ml;
  2. Pour the entire booster into the bottle;
  3. Close the bottle (you now have 110 ml) and shake vigorously;
  4. Wait 1 to 2 minutes before use.

You obtain a ready-to-vape e-liquid at 1.5 mg/ml.

To obtain an e-liquid at 3 mg/ml

  1. Take your 100 ml bottle and two nicotine boosters at 20 mg/ml;
  2. Add both boosters to the bottle;
  3. Close the bottle (you now have 120 ml) and shake thoroughly;
  4. Wait 1 to 2 minutes before vaping.

You obtain a perfectly balanced e-liquid at 3 mg/ml.

To obtain an e-liquid at 6 mg/ml

This dosage requires a larger volume than the original bottle.

  1. Take your 100 ml e-liquid, four nicotine boosters at 20 mg/ml and a large empty graduated bottle (200 ml recommended);
  2. Pour the entire e-liquid and the 4 boosters into the empty bottle;
  3. Close (you now have approximately 140 ml) and shake vigorously;
  4. Wait 1 to 2 minutes before use.

You obtain a ready-to-vape e-liquid at 6 mg/ml.

For higher dosages, the use of a graduated bottle is strongly recommended to ensure a homogeneous and safe mixture.

Equipment choice for a vegetable glycerin VG-rich e-liquid (30/70 and 20/80)

E-liquids with a dominant vegetable glycerin (VG) base are distinguished by their thicker texture and their ability to produce dense and generous vapour. They offer a smoother throat sensation and are particularly popular with vapers who enjoy direct lung (DL) vaping and large clouds.

E-cigarette

Due to their high viscosity, these e-liquids require powerful subohm e-cigarettes, such as:

Pods

Clearomisers

For optimal e-liquid feeding and to avoid dry hits, it is recommended to use subohm clearomisers, designed for thick liquids:

Coils

Low coils, ranging between 0.15 ohm and 0.4 ohm, are ideal for efficiently vaporising a VG-rich e-liquid.

Drip tip

A drip tip wide 810 format is recommended to facilitate direct inhalation and the passage of a large volume of vapour.

Power setting

High-VG e-liquids perform best at high wattage.
Vaping above 40 watts is recommended, while of course following the coil manufacturer's guidelines.

Properly maintaining your e-cigarette

To preserve flavours and ensure an optimal vape:

  • Regularly clean the clearomiser and the drip tip to avoid the build-up of residue;
  • Replace the coil as soon as flavours diminish or become altered (on average every 2 to 3 weeks);
  • Avoid leaving a tank filled with the same e-liquid for more than 5 days without use, in order to limit the risk of leaks or flavour deterioration.

Usage precautions

  • If you do not smoke, do not vape;
  • Product containing nicotine: prohibited for minors, not recommended for pregnant women and people suffering from cardiovascular disorders or hypertension;
  • In case of allergies, check for the possible presence of allergens (limonene, tree nuts, etc.) indicated on the label;
  • In case of skin contact, rinse thoroughly with water and soap;
  • Store your e-liquids in a dry place, away from light and temperature variations, out of reach of children and animals.

Think about recycling: empty bottles should be disposed of through appropriate channels.

FAQ

An e-liquid (or electronic cigarette liquid) is the product that generates vapour when heated by the coil of an electronic cigarette. Unlike traditional cigarettes, there is no combustion. The e-liquid is composed of a base (propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin), flavourings, and optionally nicotine. It determines the taste, throat hit, cloud production, and overall vaping experience.

An e-liquid generally contains four elements:

  • propylene glycol (PG), which carries the flavours, enhances the throat hit, and delivers a sensation close to that of a cigarette;
  • vegetable glycerin (VG), responsible for the vapour and cloud density;
  • flavourings, which provide the taste (fruit, mint, classic tobacco, dessert, ice…);
  • nicotine, optional, which helps manage cravings in vapers who are cutting down.

Some formulas also use alternative plant-based bases (Végétol) for extra smoothness.

An e-liquid with nicotine is intended for vapers who wish to replace traditional cigarettes. Nicotine acts on the feeling of satisfaction and reduces cravings. Nicotine-free e-liquids are used either at the end of a cessation programme or purely for the pleasure of vaping, although it is not recommended to vape if you are not a smoker. Choosing the right nicotine strength is essential to avoid a poor experience (irritation or cravings). The nicotine dosage depends on your previous cigarette consumption. A light smoker will not have the same needs as a heavy smoker. A strength that is too low can lead to frustration and relapse, while a strength that is too high can cause throat discomfort. The goal is to find a balance between throat hit, sensation, and vaping comfort, adjusting gradually as needed. A low dosage of 0, 3, or 6 mg/ml nicotine is generally recommended for light or occasional smokers (fewer than 7 cigarettes per day), and a high dosage of 20 mg/ml nicotine salt for heavy smokers (one pack of cigarettes or more). However, this dosage can be adjusted depending on your electronic cigarette and your vaping style.

Nicotine salt is a more stable and smoother form of nicotine to inhale. It provides rapid absorption with a less harsh throat hit, even at high strengths. Nicotine salt e-liquids are particularly well suited to beginner vapers, former heavy smokers, and low-wattage MTL kits. Nicotine salts come in various strengths. The most well-known and effective is 20 mg/ml, which is highly suited to heavy smokers. However, a 10 mg/ml strength can work very well for regular or occasional smokers.

A nicotine booster is a concentrated nicotine bottle, designed to be added to a large-format e-liquid. It allows you to adjust the final nicotine level according to the quantity added. Flexible and cost-effective, this solution allows you to boost your large-format e-liquid to 3 or 6 mg/ml of nicotine. For a 50 ml e-liquid, adding one nicotine booster will give you 3 mg/ml, while two nicotine boosters will turn your e-liquid into 6 mg/ml.

The propylene glycol / vegetable glycerin ratio has a strong influence on the vaping experience.

  • An e-liquid rich in propylene glycol or PG (70/30, 80/20) enhances the throat hit, flavour accuracy, and a discreet vape. The e-liquid will be thin and only compatible with MTL equipment with a tight draw to prevent leaks.
  • An e-liquid rich in vegetable glycerin or VG (30/70) produces more vapour and cloud, with a smoother, sweeter sensation. This thicker e-liquid is compatible with sub-ohm or shisha-type electronic cigarettes, producing large vapour clouds at high wattage.

The choice therefore depends on the wattage and compatibility with your electronic cigarette. If in doubt, the most common ratio remains 50/50 PG/VG. Well-balanced, it allows versatile use across MTL, RDL, and light DTL electronic cigarette models (approximately between 15 and 40 watts).

Vegetable-based e-liquids or those made with Végétol replace traditional propylene glycol. They are often gentler on the throat, better tolerated by vapers who are sensitive to PG, and offer a smoother vape without compromising on flavour. However, they should be used in MTL mode at low wattage (minimum 30 watts) to avoid the risk of leaks and to preserve the quality of the product.

Yes, CBD e-liquids are designed for vaping and generally do not contain nicotine. They offer a different sensation, focused on relaxation, with no addictive effect. They should be used at moderate wattage to preserve the quality of the product. It is recommended to use them with an MTL e-cigarette with a tight draw.

E-liquids are considered a much healthier alternative to smoked tobacco. They are formulated from ingredients certified as safe for health, unlike the 7,000 harmful substances found in traditional cigarettes. Nevertheless, to choose a safe e-liquid, a few precautions should be taken, such as purchasing your e-liquid from a recognised retailer such as Le Vapoteur Discount, or checking the composition and origin by favouring reputable and regulated brands.

An e-liquid made in France meets strict requirements and European directives regarding traceability, quality control, and safety. As a guarantee of quality and transparency for the consumer, French and European brands generally have their own laboratory for developing their e-liquid formula and are required to have that formulation assessed by an independent laboratory before it goes to market. All these steps ensure that e-liquids are safe for vapers. These French and European quality standards prohibit undesirable substances and provide a more secure framework for vaping.

To keep your e-liquid for as long as possible and preserve its quality, taste, and colour, you should store it in its original bottle, ideally away from light, heat, and air. Despite these precautions, the e-liquid may occasionally take on a slightly brown tint. Safe and fit for consumption, this colour is due to the oxidation of nicotine and may also depend on the flavouring used in the e-liquid. It is generally advised not to keep the same e-liquid for more than 5 days in your clearomiser or pod cartridge if you are not using it, to avoid leaks and excessive oxidation.

The BBD (Best Before Date) or MHD (Minimum Durability Date) is an indicative date. Once the e-liquid's date has passed, it may lose its taste qualities and its appearance (colour, consistency). A factory-fresh e-liquid will have a BBD of approximately 2 years. Even after the BBD has passed, the e-liquid remains fit for vaporisation and will not be harmful to health.
