Nicotine base calculator
Prepare your nicotine base in one go
This calculator tells you how many boosters to add to your neutral base to reach the nicotine strength you want. Prepare a large volume once, then all that is left to do is add your concentrated flavour.
A nicotine base is a mix of neutral base (0 mg/ml) and nicotine boosters, usually sold at 20 mg/ml. The more boosters you add, the higher the strength — and the more the PG/VG ratio shifts towards the ratio of the boosters themselves, which is why the second calculator below lets you check what you really end up with.

Mixing two nicotine bases
Two bases left over with different ratios? Find out the strength and the PG/VG ratio you get by mixing them.
How to use the base calculator
- Enter the total volume of base you want to prepare;
- Enter the nicotine strength you are aiming for;
- Check the strength of the boosters you own — 20 mg/ml is the market standard.
The calculator then gives you the volume of neutral base and the volume of boosters to mix, along with the number of 10 ml bottles that represents.
Which nicotine strength should you choose?
The right strength depends on your smoking profile: 3 mg/ml for a light smoker (up to 5 cigarettes a day), 6 mg/ml for a moderate smoker (5 to 10), 11 to 12 mg/ml for a medium smoker (10 to 20) and 16 to 18 mg/ml beyond that. Adjust it over time: too much nicotine gives a harsh throat hit, too little keeps the craving going.
