Rouge 10 ml Ecobox - Alfaliquid
The Le Vapoteur Discount guide to choosing your 10 ml e-liquid
Indispensable to any electronic cigarette, the e-liquid is the heart of your vaping experience. The 10 ml format is currently the only one authorised to contain nicotine under European regulations. Compact, practical and easy to carry, it allows you to try a flavour, adjust your nicotine level or vape daily with complete ease.
It is also the ideal format to support a journey of tobacco reduction or cessation, at your own pace.
Which nicotine level should you choose for your e-liquid?
The right nicotine level depends above all on your smoker profile and your habits. The aim is to satisfy the craving without discomfort, while maintaining an enjoyable vape.
-
Light smoker (fewer than 5 cigarettes per day)
0 to 6 mg/ml
A mild dosage, sufficient to curb the urge to smoke while offering a light throat sensation. -
Moderate smoker (5 to 15 cigarettes per day)
6 to 12 mg/ml
An ideal balance to recapture a sensation close to a traditional cigarette, without frustration. -
Intense smoker (more than 15 cigarettes per day)
12 to 18 mg/ml
A higher level, designed to meet a significant nicotine need, particularly at the start of the quitting process. -
Heavy smoker (more than 20 cigarettes per day)
18 to 20 mg/ml
The maximum permitted dosage, often associated with nicotine salts, for faster absorption and a smoother sensation.
These indications remain guidelines: every vaper is unique. Your personal feel, the throat hit and the equipment used may lead you to adjust your dosage.
Choosing the right equipment for a balanced PG/VG e-liquid (50/50)
The 50/50 PG/VG ratio is one of the most versatile on the market. It offers an excellent compromise between flavour reproduction, moderate throat hit and reasonable vapour production. It is a reassuring choice, both for beginner vapers and for those seeking a simple and effective everyday vape.
Electronic cigarette
Thanks to its balanced viscosity, a 50/50 e-liquid is compatible with the majority of versatile electronic cigarettes, including:
- Innokin CoolFire Z80 Kit: the unbeatable battery box mod, versatile and fitted with the Zenith 2;
- Aspire Zelos M80 Kit: the winner of VapExpo 2025;
- Eleaf iStick X80 Kit: the new generation of the iStick series;
- Vaporesso Xros Pro 2 Kit: the kit with impeccable flavour delivery.
Pods
This ratio also works very well with modern pods, appreciated for their simplicity and discretion:
- GeekVape Soul 2 Kit: the pod with XXL battery life and versatile draw, by GeekVape;
- Aspire Pixo Max Kit: the latest Pixo with maximum battery life and new cartridges;
- Lost Vape Centaurus Ori 35 Kit: a Centaurus pod with incredible performance and finish.
Clearomisers
For a stable and hassle-free vape, opt for versatile clearomisers capable of handling different inhalation styles:
- Innokin Zenith 2 Clearomiser: unbeatable, versatile, ideal for MTL or RDL;
- Vaporesso X Tank T Clearomiser: the latest addition to the GTX series;
- GeekVape Zeus Nano 2 Clearomiser: a versatile Zeus, fitted with B Series coils;
- Aspire Nautilus GT 2 Clearomiser: a timeless Nautilus with a modern design.
Coils
The coil resistance should ideally be between 0.4 ohm and 1.2 ohm, for an adaptable, economical and pleasant vape.
Drip tip
A drip tip standard 510 is generally recommended. Some vapers also use this ratio with more airy 810 drip tips without experiencing leaks, depending on the equipment used.
Power setting
An e-liquid in 50/50 PG/VG is suited to a wide power range, generally between 10 and 40 watts, depending on the installed coil and the type of draw desired.
Maintaining your electronic cigarette
Regular maintenance is essential to ensure a healthy, flavourful and long-lasting vape:
- Clean the clearomiser and drip tip regularly to avoid the build-up of residue;
- Replace the coil as soon as flavours deteriorate or vapour diminishes (on average every 2 to 3 weeks) and take the opportunity to clean your clearomiser thoroughly;
- Avoid leaving a filled tank with the same e-liquid for more than 5 days without use, to limit the risk of leaks or flavour deterioration.
Usage precautions
- If you do not smoke, do not vape;
- Product containing nicotine: prohibited for minors, not recommended for pregnant women or people suffering from cardiovascular disorders or hypertension;
- In case of allergies, check for the possible presence of allergens (limonene, tree nuts, etc.) indicated on the label;
- In case of skin contact, rinse thoroughly with water and soap;
- Store your e-liquids in a dry place, away from light and temperature variations, out of reach of children and animals.
Think about recycling: empty bottles should be disposed of through appropriate channels.

FAQ
An e-liquid (or liquid for e-cigarettes) is the product that generates vapour when heated by the coil of an e-cigarette. Unlike traditional cigarettes, there is no combustion. The e-liquid is made up of a base (propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin), flavourings, and optionally nicotine. It is what determines the taste, throat sensation, cloud production, and the overall vaping experience.
An e-liquid generally contains four elements:
- propylene glycol (PG), which carries the flavours, enhances throat hit and provides a sensation close to that of a cigarette;
- vegetable glycerin (VG), responsible for the vapour and cloud density;
- flavourings, which give the taste (fruit, mint, classic blonde, dessert, ice…);
- nicotine, optional, which helps manage cravings in vapers who are quitting smoking.
Some formulas also use alternative plant-based bases (Végétol) for extra smoothness.
An e-liquid with nicotine is intended for vapers who want to replace traditional cigarettes. Nicotine acts on the satisfaction sensation and helps limit cravings. Nicotine-free e-liquids are used either at the end of a quit-smoking process, or purely for the pleasure of vaping, although it is not recommended to vape if you are not a smoker. Choosing the right nicotine level is essential to avoid a bad experience (irritation or cravings). The nicotine dosage depends on your previous cigarette consumption. A light smoker will not have the same needs as a heavy smoker. A level that is too low can lead to frustration and relapse, while a level that is too high can cause throat discomfort. The aim is to find a balance between throat hit, sensation and vaping comfort, adjusting progressively as needed. A low dosage of 0, 3 or 6 mg/ml of nicotine is generally recommended for light smokers or occasional smokers (fewer than 7 cigarettes per day), and a high dosage of 20 mg/ml nicotine salt for heavy smokers (one pack of cigarettes or more). However, this dosage can be adjusted depending on your e-cigarette and your vaping style.
Nicotine salt is a more stable form of nicotine that is smoother to inhale. It provides rapid absorption with a less harsh throat hit, even at high levels. Nicotine salt e-liquids are particularly suited to beginner vapers, former heavy smokers and low-power MTL kits. Various nicotine salt dosages are available. The most well-known and effective is 20 mg/ml, highly suitable for heavy smokers. However, a 10 mg/ml dosage can work very well for a regular or occasional smoker.
A nicotine booster is a nicotine-concentrated bottle designed to be added to a large-format e-liquid. It allows you to adjust the final nicotine level according to the quantity added. Flexible and economical, this solution lets you boost your large-format e-liquid to 3 or 6 mg/ml of nicotine. For a 50 ml e-liquid, adding one nicotine booster will result in 3 mg/ml; two nicotine boosters will bring your e-liquid to 6 mg/ml.
The propylene glycol / vegetable glycerin ratio strongly influences the vaping experience.
- An e-liquid rich in propylene glycol or PG (70/30, 80/20) enhances throat hit, flavour accuracy and a discreet vape. The e-liquid will be fluid and only compatible with MTL devices with a tight draw to avoid leaks.
- An e-liquid rich in vegetable glycerin or VG (30/70) produces more vapour and cloud, with a smoother, sweeter sensation. This thicker e-liquid will be compatible with sub-ohm or shisha-type e-cigarettes, producing large vapour clouds at high power.
The choice therefore depends on the power and compatibility with your e-cigarette. If in doubt, the most common ratio remains 50/50 PG/VG. Balanced, it allows versatile use across MTL, RDL and light DTL e-cigarette models (approximately between 15 and 40 watts).
Plant-based or Végétol e-liquids replace traditional propylene glycol. They are often gentler on the throat, better tolerated by vapers who are sensitive to PG, and provide a smoother vape without compromising on flavour. However, they should be used in MTL mode at low power (minimum 30 watts) to avoid leakage risks and preserve product quality.
Yes, CBD e-liquids are designed for vaping and generally contain no nicotine. They offer a different sensation, focused on relaxation, with no addictive effect. They should be used at moderate power to preserve product quality. A tight-draw MTL e-cigarette is recommended for use with them.
E-liquids are considered a far healthier alternative to smoked tobacco. They are formulated from certified ingredients that are safe for health, unlike the 7,000 harmful substances found in traditional cigarettes. Nevertheless, to choose a safe e-liquid, a few precautions should be taken, such as purchasing your e-liquid from a recognised retailer like Le Vapoteur Discount, or checking the composition and origin by opting for reputable and regulated brands.
An e-liquid manufactured in France meets strict requirements and European directives regarding traceability, quality control and safety. As a guarantee of quality and transparency for the consumer, French and European brands generally have their own laboratory for developing their e-liquid formula and are required to have this formulation assessed by an independent laboratory before going to market. All these steps guarantee e-liquids that are safe for vapers. These French and European quality standards prohibit undesirable substances and provide a more secure framework for vaping.
To keep your e-liquid as long as possible and preserve its quality, taste and colour, it should be stored in its original bottle and ideally away from light, heat and air. Despite these precautions, the e-liquid may sometimes take on a slightly brown tint. Harmless and safe for use, this colour is due to the oxidation of nicotine and may also depend on the flavouring used in the e-liquid. It is generally advised not to keep the same e-liquid for more than 5 days in your clearomiser or pod cartridge if you are not using it, to avoid leaks and excessive oxidation.
The BBD (Best Before Date) or MHD (Minimum Durability Date) is an indicative date. Once the e-liquid's date has passed, it may lose its taste qualities and its appearance (colour, fluidity). A factory-fresh e-liquid will have a BBD of approximately 2 years. Even past the BBD, the e-liquid remains suitable for vaporisation and will not be harmful to health.
