An e-liquid is a consumable intended exclusively for use in an e-cigarette. The 100 ml format is sold nicotine-free, usually in a 120 ml bottle designed to hold up to two boosters. It can be vaped as is at 0 mg/ml or topped up with one or two nicotine boosters. For a higher strength, prepare the mixture in a large graduated empty bottle. Its balanced 50/50 PG/VG ratio suits most e-cigarettes, for both MTL and RDL vaping.

Adding a booster is optional: the 100 ml e-liquid can be vaped perfectly well without nicotine. If you want nicotine, the number of boosters added determines the final strength:

An e-liquid is made up of a base of propylene glycol (PG) and vegetable glycerine (VG), flavourings and, where applicable, nicotine. PG carries flavours and throat hit, while VG provides smoothness and vapour volume. In equal parts, the 50/50 ratio combines these two properties.

Thanks to its fluidity, a 50/50 e-liquid properly saturates the coils of most clearomisers and cartridges, without being too thin for tight-draw models.

The coil resistance and power determine the type of draw. With a 100 ml 50/50 e-liquid, vaped at 0 to 6 mg/ml, the following guidelines provide a consistent vape:

Always start at the bottom of the power range stated on the coil, then increase gradually. For the drip tip, a 510 mouthpiece is suitable for most uses; an 810 drip tip can be used for RDL with clearomisers designed for this format.
