A mesh design for better flavor restitution

Mesh coils represent a major advancement over traditional Kanthal A1 wire coils. Unlike classic coils consisting of a wound resistive wire (generally Kanthal), mesh comes in the form of a thin metal grid. This design allows for a much larger heating surface, ensuring more uniform vaporization of the e-liquid. The result: more precise, intense and realistic flavor from the very first puff. Moreover, the more uniform heating of the mesh reduces hot spots, which limits the risk of a burnt taste and extends the lifespan of the coils. E-liquid compatibility

These are intended for direct inhalation (DL) for an airy draw as well as for e-liquids with a high vegetable glycerin content such as high VG e-liquids in 30/70 PG/VG. 

Always prefer e-liquids with a high vegetable glycerin content to avoid the risk of leaks. 

Nicotine: these coils are not compatible with high nicotine levels. Their vapor production, which is too significant, would cause an excessively intense throat hit when using an e-liquid with a nicotine level above 6 mg/ml.

Coil options

The Z Series GeekVape coils are available in 5 different models to suit every need and preference:

• Mesh Z0.25 ohm coil: to be used in a wattage range between 45 and 57 watts.
• Mesh Z0.20 ohm XM coil: to be used in a wattage range between 70 and 80 watts.
• Mesh Z0.15 ohm coil: to be used in a wattage range between 80 and 90 watts.
• Mesh Z XM 0.15 ohm coil: to be used in a wattage range between 70 and 85 watts.
• Mesh Z0.4 ohm XM coil: to be used in a wattage range between 50 and 60 watts.

The Z Coil 0.25 ohm coil is not compatible with the Geek Vape P Subohm Tank clearomizer.

How to change your Z Series coil?

The Z Series coil does not screw in, it clips inside the clearomizer.

To change your Z series coil in Geek Vape clearomizers (Zeus, Z subohm, etc.), nothing could be simpler: 

• (Proceed when the tank is empty)
• Unscrew the base of your clearomizer;
• Remove your old coil;
• Insert a new coil after priming it with a few drops of liquid directly onto the cotton; 
• Close the clearomizer and fill the tank with your e-liquid; 
• Without pressing the fire button, take 4 or 5 dry draws to bring the liquid back up into the coil cotton; 
• Wait approximately 10 minutes before vaping. 

When to replace your Mesh Z Coil coils?

Mesh Z Coil coils are consumable products that must be replaced fairly regularly for a quality vape. The vaper must replace their Geek Vape coil as soon as there is a loss of flavor, a burnt taste or less vapor. As a general rule, this product should be changed every 2 to 3 weeks, depending on the e-liquid used and the frequency of vaping. In the case where the consumer vapes a lot and uses fatty e-liquids with a high vegetable glycerin ratio, then the coils should be changed every 1 to 2 weeks.

How to keep your Z Series coil longer? 

There are tips and solutions to extend the lifespan of your coils and continue vaping at the best price: 

Use the correct wattage range: each coil offers a wattage range to be respected to ensure its longevity. It is estimated that the lower wattage range protects the coil for longer.

Avoid dry hits: (dry hit = occasional burnt taste) to avoid classic dry hits, always make sure your tank is filled with e-liquid to at least half the reservoir. Vaping with a level that is too low will not sufficiently saturate your coil, which will overheat without vaporizing the e-liquid, leading to a dry hit.

Avoid chain vaping: chain vaping is the act of vaping in succession without leaving the necessary rest time for the liquid to wick back up into the coil cotton by capillary action. If chain vaping applies to you and is unavoidable, then move on to the next tip. 

Take dry draws: between each rapid draw, get into the habit of taking a draw without pressing the fire button. This action mechanically draws the liquid back up into the coil cotton without having to wait for it to wick back up by capillary action. 

Regularly clean your clearomizer: your clearomizer may contain dust and residue accumulated from its environment (pocket, bag, pollution) that will migrate into the chimney of your coil, wearing it out prematurely. To do this, frequently inspect your drip tip and thoroughly clean your clearomizer with every coil change. 

Use appropriate e-liquids and flavors: for this type of coil, e-liquids with a high vegetable glycerin content are recommended. However, if your VG ratio is too high, your wattage too strong and the flavor concentration too high, your coil will not last long. Prefer 30/70 PG/VG ratios with e-liquids that are not overly boosted with flavors (as is the case with 50 ml and above) or dilute it with a neutral base. If you make your own DIY e-liquid, follow the flavor dosage recommended by the manufacturer and add only very few DIY additives if applicable.
