An e-liquid (or electronic cigarette liquid) is the product that generates vapour when heated by the coil of an electronic cigarette. Unlike traditional cigarettes, there is no combustion. The propylene glycol / vegetable glycerine ratio has a strong influence on the vaping experience.

E-liquids with a vegetable base or Végétol replace traditional propylene glycol. The DLUO (Best Before Date) or BBD (Best By Date) is an indicative date. Once the e-liquid's date has passed, it may lose its taste qualities and its appearance (colour, fluidity). A factory-fresh e-liquid will have a BBD of approximately 2 years. Even after the BBD has passed, the e-liquid remains safe to vaporise and will not be harmful to health.
