RY4 50/50 (formerly Ryan) 10 ml - D'lice
The Le Vapoteur Discount guide to choosing your 10 ml e-liquid
Essential to any electronic cigarette, the e-liquid is the heart of your vaping experience. The 10 ml format is currently the only one permitted to contain nicotine under European regulations. Compact, practical and easy to carry, it allows you to test a flavour, adjust your nicotine level or vape daily with ease.
It is also the ideal format to support a reduction or cessation of tobacco use, at your own pace.
What nicotine level should you choose for your e-liquid?
The right nicotine level depends above all on your smoker profile and your habits. The aim is to satisfy the craving without discomfort, whilst keeping the vaping experience enjoyable.
-
Light smoker (fewer than 5 cigarettes per day)
0 to 6 mg/ml
A gentle dosage, sufficient to curb the urge to smoke whilst offering a light throat sensation. -
Moderate smoker (5 to 15 cigarettes per day)
6 to 12 mg/ml
An ideal balance to rediscover a sensation close to a traditional cigarette, without frustration. -
Heavy smoker (more than 15 cigarettes per day)
12 to 18 mg/ml
A higher level, designed to meet a significant nicotine need, particularly at the start of a cessation programme. -
Very heavy smoker (more than 20 cigarettes per day)
18 to 20 mg/ml
The maximum permitted dosage, often associated with nicotine salts, for faster absorption and a smoother sensation.
These indications remain guidelines: every vaper is unique. Your personal experience, throat hit and the equipment used may lead you to adjust your dosage.
Choosing equipment for a balanced PG/VG e-liquid (50/50)
The 50/50 PG/VG ratio is one of the most versatile on the market. It offers an excellent compromise between flavour delivery, moderate throat hit and reasonable vapour production. It is a reassuring choice, both for beginner vapers and for those looking for a simple and effective everyday vape.
Electronic cigarette
Thanks to its balanced viscosity, a 50/50 e-liquid is compatible with the majority of versatile electronic cigarettes, in particular:
- CoolFire Z80 Kit by Innokin: the unrivalled mod with battery, versatile and equipped with the Zenith 2;
- Zelos M80 Kit by Aspire: the winner of VapExpo 2025;
- iStick X80 Kit by Eleaf: the new generation of the iStick series;
- Xros Pro 2 Kit by Vaporesso: the kit with impeccable flavour delivery.
Pods
This ratio also works very well with modern pods, appreciated for their simplicity and discretion:
- Soul 2 Kit by GeekVape: the pod with XXL battery life and versatile draw, by GeekVape;
- Pixo Max Kit by Aspire: the latest Pixo with maximum battery life and new cartridges;
- Centaurus Ori 35 Kit by Lost Vape: a Centaurus pod with incredible performance and finish.
Clearomisers
For a stable and hassle-free vape, opt for versatile clearomisers capable of handling different inhalation styles:
- Zenith 2 Clearomiser by Innokin: unrivalled, versatile, ideal for MTL or RDL;
- X Tank T Clearomiser by Vaporesso: the latest in the GTX series;
- Zeus Nano 2 Clearomiser by GeekVape: a versatile Zeus, equipped with B Series coils;
- Nautilus GT 2 Clearomiser by Aspire: a timeless Nautilus with a modern design.
Coils
The coil resistance value should ideally be between 0.4 ohm and 1.2 ohm, for a flexible, economical and enjoyable vape.
Drip tip
A drip tip standard 510 is generally recommended. Some vapers also use this ratio with more airy 810 drip tips, without experiencing any leaks, depending on the equipment used.
Power setting
A 50/50 PG/VG e-liquid adapts to a wide power range, generally between 10 and 40 watts, depending on the coil fitted and the type of draw desired.
Maintaining your electronic cigarette properly
Regular maintenance is essential to ensure a healthy, flavourful and long-lasting vape:
- Clean the clearomiser and drip tip regularly to prevent the build-up of residue;
- Replace the coil as soon as flavours deteriorate or vapour decreases (on average every 2 to 3 weeks) and take the opportunity to clean your clearomiser thoroughly;
- Avoid leaving a filled tank with the same e-liquid for more than 5 days without use, to limit the risk of leaks or flavour degradation.
Usage precautions
- If you do not smoke, do not vape;
- Product containing nicotine: prohibited for minors, not recommended for pregnant women or people suffering from cardiovascular disorders or hypertension;
- In case of allergies, check for the possible presence of allergens (limonene, tree nuts, etc.) indicated on the label;
- In case of skin contact, rinse thoroughly with water and soap;
- Store your e-liquids in a dry place, away from light and temperature fluctuations, out of reach of children and animals.
Think about recycling: empty bottles must be disposed of through appropriate channels.

FAQ
An e-liquid (or liquid for e-cigarettes) is the product that generates vapour when heated by the coil of an e-cigarette. Unlike traditional cigarettes, there is no combustion. The e-liquid is composed of a base (propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin), flavourings, and optionally nicotine. It determines the taste, throat sensation, cloud production, and overall vaping experience.
An e-liquid generally contains four elements:
- propylene glycol (PG), which carries the flavours, enhances the throat hit, and provides a sensation close to that of a cigarette;
- vegetable glycerin (VG), responsible for the vapour and the density of the cloud;
- flavourings, which provide the taste (fruit, mint, classic tobacco, dessert, ice…);
- nicotine, which is optional, and helps manage cravings in vapers who are quitting.
Some formulas also use alternative plant-based bases (Végétol) for a smoother experience.
An e-liquid with nicotine is intended for vapers who want to replace traditional cigarettes. Nicotine acts on the feeling of satisfaction and helps manage cravings. Nicotine-free e-liquids are used either at the end of the quitting process or purely for the pleasure of vaping, although it is not recommended to vape if you are not a smoker. Choosing the right nicotine strength is essential to avoid a bad experience (irritation or cravings). The nicotine dosage depends on your previous cigarette consumption. A light smoker will not have the same needs as a heavy smoker. Too low a strength can lead to frustration and relapse, while too high a strength can cause throat discomfort. The aim is to find a balance between throat hit, sensation, and vaping comfort, adjusting gradually as needed. As a general rule, a low dosage of 0, 3, or 6 mg/ml of nicotine is recommended for light or occasional smokers (fewer than 7 cigarettes per day), and a high dosage of 20 mg/ml nicotine salt for heavy smokers (one pack of cigarettes or more). However, this dosage can be adjusted depending on your e-cigarette and your vaping style.
Nicotine salt is a more stable form of nicotine that is gentler on inhalation. It provides rapid absorption with a less aggressive throat hit, even at high strengths. Nicotine salt e-liquids are particularly suited to beginner vapers, former heavy smokers, and low-powered MTL kits. Nicotine salts come in various strengths. The best-known and most effective is 20 mg/ml, which is well suited to heavy smokers. However, a 10 mg/ml strength can work very well for a regular or occasional smoker.
A nicotine booster is a nicotine-concentrated bottle designed to be added to a large-format e-liquid. It allows you to adjust the final nicotine strength depending on the quantity added. Flexible and cost-effective, this solution lets you boost your large-format e-liquid to 3 or 6 mg/ml of nicotine. For a 50 ml e-liquid, adding one nicotine booster will give you 3 mg/ml, while two nicotine boosters will bring your e-liquid to 6 mg/ml.
The propylene glycol / vegetable glycerin ratio strongly influences the vaping experience.
- An e-liquid rich in propylene glycol or PG (70/30, 80/20) enhances the throat hit, flavour precision, and a discreet vape. The e-liquid will be fluid and compatible only with tight-draw MTL equipment to avoid leaks.
- An e-liquid rich in vegetable glycerin or VG (30/70) produces more vapour and cloud, with a smoother, sweeter sensation. This thicker e-liquid will be compatible with sub-ohm or hookah-style e-cigarettes, producing large vapour clouds at high power.
The choice therefore depends on the power and compatibility with your e-cigarette. If in doubt, the most common ratio remains 50/50 PG/VG. Balanced, it allows versatile use across MTL, RDL, and light DTL e-cigarette models (approximately between 15 and 40 watts).
Plant-based or Végétol e-liquids replace traditional propylene glycol. They are often gentler on the throat, better tolerated by vapers who are sensitive to PG, and provide a smoother vape without compromising on flavour. However, they should be used in MTL mode at low power (minimum 30 watts) to avoid the risk of leaks and to preserve the quality of the product.
Yes, CBD e-liquids are designed for vaping and generally contain no nicotine. They offer a different sensation, focused on relaxation, with no addictive effect. They should be used at moderate power to preserve the quality of the product. For best results, pair them with a tight-draw MTL e-cigarette.
E-liquids are considered a far healthier alternative to smoked tobacco. They are formulated from ingredients certified as safe, unlike the 7,000 harmful substances found in traditional cigarettes. Nevertheless, to choose a safe e-liquid, a few precautions should be taken, such as purchasing your e-liquid from a recognised retailer such as Le Vapoteur Discount, and checking the composition and origin by favouring reputable and regulated brands.
An e-liquid manufactured in France meets strict requirements and European directives regarding traceability, quality control, and safety. As a guarantee of quality and transparency for the consumer, French and European brands generally have their own laboratory for developing their e-liquid formulas, and are required to have that formulation assessed by an independent laboratory before going to market. These steps ensure that e-liquids are safe for vapers. French and European quality standards prohibit undesirable substances and provide a more secure framework for vaping.
To keep your e-liquid for as long as possible and preserve its quality, taste, and colour, store it in its original bottle, ideally away from light, heat, and air. Despite these precautions, the e-liquid may sometimes take on a slightly brown tint. Safe and suitable for use, this colour is caused by the oxidation of nicotine and may also depend on the flavouring used in the e-liquid. It is generally recommended not to leave the same e-liquid in your clearomiser or pod cartridge for more than 5 days if you are not using it, in order to avoid leaks and excessive oxidation.
The BBD (Best Before Date) or MHD (Minimum Durability Date) is an indicative date. Once the e-liquid's date has passed, it may lose its taste qualities and appearance (colour, fluidity). A factory-fresh e-liquid will have a BBD of approximately 2 years. Even after the BBD has passed, the e-liquid remains suitable for vaporisation and will not be harmful to health.
