The CBD e-liquid is a nicotine-free alternative for enjoying vaping while benefiting from the potential properties of cannabidiol (CBD), a natural component of cannabis with no psychoactive effects. It offers a relaxing vaping experience suited to everyday wellbeing.
Carefully crafted, the CBD is extracted from the cannabis plant and then diluted in a blend of propylene glycol (PG) and vegetable glycerine (VG) to ensure efficient vaporisation and optimal absorption. CBD e-liquids can be flavoured with a wide variety of flavours, ranging from fruits to more natural hemp notes.
The CBD concentration varies according to needs: it can be low for a gentle experience or higher for a more pronounced effect, allowing each user to find their ideal dosage.
Dosage refers to the amount of CBD present in each bottle. The most common:
1 to 5%, i.e. 100 to 500 mg: a gentle introduction to CBD, ideal for beginners;
10 to 20%, i.e. 1,000 mg to 2,000 mg: intermediate concentration, moderate effect;
50%, i.e. 5,000 mg: high concentration for experienced users.
It is recommended to start with a low dosage and gradually adjust according to your needs and sensations. CBD-concentrated boosters are also available to enrich or personalise your e-liquid.
Choosing the right equipment
E-cigarette or pod with moderate coils and wattage.
Avoid high wattages: CBD degrades with excessive heat.
Vaping technique
Take short puffs and wait a few moments between each inhalation.
Vaping slowly allows you to appreciate the flavour and observe the effects of CBD.
Adjusting the concentration
Start with a low-CBD bottle.
Gradually increase until you find the ideal dosage.
CBD e-liquids are fluid and behave like e-liquids with a high propylene glycol content.

An e-liquid (or electronic cigarette liquid) is the product that generates vapour when heated by the coil of an e-cigarette. Unlike traditional cigarettes, there is no combustion. The e-liquid is made up of a base (propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin), flavourings, and optionally nicotine. It determines the taste, the throat sensation, cloud production and the overall vaping experience.
An e-liquid generally contains four elements:
Some formulas also use alternative vegetable bases (Végétol) for a smoother experience.
An e-liquid with nicotine is intended for vapers who wish to replace the traditional cigarette. Nicotine acts on the feeling of satisfaction and reduces cravings. Nicotine-free e-liquids are used either towards the end of the quitting process or simply for the pleasure of vaping, even though it is not recommended to vape if you are not a smoker. Choosing the right nicotine level is essential to avoid a poor experience (irritation or cravings). The nicotine dosage depends on your previous cigarette consumption. A light smoker will not have the same needs as a heavy smoker. A level that is too low can lead to frustration and relapse, while a level that is too high can cause throat discomfort. The goal is to find the right balance between hit, sensation and vaping comfort, adjusting gradually if needed. A low dosage of 0, 3 or 6 mg/ml of nicotine is generally recommended for light smokers or occasional smokers (fewer than 7 cigarettes per day), and a high dosage of 20 mg/ml nicotine salt for heavy smokers (one pack of cigarettes or more). However, this dosage can be adjusted depending on your e-cigarette and your vaping style.
Nicotine salt is a more stable form of nicotine that is smoother to inhale. It provides rapid absorption with a less harsh throat hit, even at high strengths. Nicotine salt e-liquids are particularly suited to beginner vapers, former heavy smokers and low-wattage MTL kits. Various nicotine salt strengths are available. The most well-known and effective is 20 mg/ml, which is highly suited to heavy smokers. However, a 10 mg/ml dosage can work very well for regular or occasional smokers.
A nicotine booster is a concentrated nicotine shot, designed to be added to a large-format e-liquid. It allows you to adjust the final nicotine level depending on the quantity added. Flexible and cost-effective, this solution allows you to boost your large-format e-liquid to 3 or 6 mg/ml of nicotine. For a 50 ml e-liquid, adding one nicotine booster will give you 3 mg/ml; two nicotine boosters will bring your e-liquid up to 6 mg/ml.
The propylene glycol / vegetable glycerin ratio has a strong influence on the vaping experience.
The choice therefore depends on the wattage and compatibility with your e-cigarette. If in doubt, the most common ratio remains 50/50 PG/VG. Well-balanced, it allows versatile use across MTL, RDL and light DTL e-cigarette models (approximately between 15 and 40 watts).
Vegetable-base or Végétol e-liquids replace traditional propylene glycol. They are often gentler on the throat, better tolerated by vapers who are sensitive to PG, and provide a smoother vape without compromising on flavour. However, they should be used in MTL mode at low wattage (minimum 30 watts) to avoid the risk of leaks and to preserve product quality.
Yes, CBD e-liquids are designed for vaping and generally contain no nicotine. They offer a different sensation, focused on relaxation, with no addictive effect. They should be used at moderate wattage to preserve product quality. A tight-draw MTL e-cigarette is recommended for use with them.
E-liquids are considered a far healthier alternative to smoked tobacco. They are formulated from ingredients certified as safe, unlike the 7,000 harmful substances found in traditional cigarettes. Nevertheless, to choose a safe e-liquid, a few precautions should be taken, such as buying your e-liquid from a recognised retailer such as Le Vapoteur Discount, or checking the composition and origin by favouring reputable and regulated brands.
An e-liquid manufactured in France meets strict requirements and European directives in terms of traceability, quality control and safety. A mark of quality and transparency for consumers, French and European brands generally have their own laboratory for developing their e-liquid formulas and are required to have those formulas assessed by an independent laboratory before going to market. These steps all help to guarantee e-liquids that are safe for vapers. These French and European quality standards prohibit undesirable substances and provide a more secure framework for vaping.
To keep your e-liquid for as long as possible and preserve its quality, taste and colour, it should be stored in its original bottle, ideally away from light, heat and air. Despite these precautions, the e-liquid may take on a slightly brown tint. Safe and fit for use, this colour is caused by the oxidation of nicotine and may also depend on the flavouring used in the e-liquid. It is generally advised not to leave the same e-liquid in your clearomiser or pod cartridge for more than 5 days if you are not using it, to avoid leaks and excessive oxidation.
The BBD (Best Before Date) or MHD (Minimum Durability Date) is an indicative date. Once the e-liquid's date has passed, it may lose its taste qualities and its appearance (colour, consistency). A factory-fresh e-liquid will have a BBD of around 2 years. Even past its BBD, the e-liquid remains safe to vaporise and will not be harmful to health.
