The Le Vapoteur Discount guide for your 50 ml e-liquid

Why choose a 50 ml e-liquid without nicotine?

An e-liquid is a consumable exclusively intended for the e-cigarette. The 50 ml format is particularly popular among regular vapers for its value for money. It allows you to vape for longer while reducing the need for repeated purchases.

50 ml e-liquids are packaged in ready-to-boost format.
They contain no nicotine at purchase, but leave enough space in the bottle to add one or two nicotine boosters, depending on the desired dosage.

Practical, economical and flexible, the 50 ml format suits vapers at 0 mg, 3 mg or 6 mg/ml who want to enjoy their favourite flavour for longer, without compromise.

How to add nicotine to a 50 ml e-liquid?

A 50 ml e-liquid can perfectly be vaped without nicotine.
However, if you are an occasional or moderate smoker, adding nicotine boosters allows you to tailor your e-liquid to your needs, simply and quickly.

To obtain an e-liquid at 3 mg/ml

  1. Grab your 50 ml bottle and one nicotine booster at 20 mg/ml;
  2. Pour the entire booster into the bottle;
  3. Close the bottle (you now have 60 ml) and shake vigorously for a few seconds;
  4. Wait 1 to 2 minutes before use.

You will obtain a ready-to-vape e-liquid at 3 mg/ml.

To obtain an e-liquid at 6 mg/ml

  1. Grab your 50 ml bottle and two nicotine boosters at 20 mg/ml;
  2. Add both boosters to the bottle;
  3. Close the bottle (you now have 70 ml) and shake thoroughly;
  4. Wait 1 to 2 minutes before vaping.

You will obtain a ready-to-use e-liquid at 6 mg/ml.

These bottles are designed to accommodate up to 2 boosters. If you want a higher dosage or a custom recipe, we recommend using large-format bottles (Chubby Gorilla or 120 ml graduated bottles).

Choosing the right equipment for a balanced PG/VG e-liquid (50/50)

The 50/50 PG/VG ratio is one of the most versatile on the market. It offers an excellent balance between flavour delivery, moderate throat hit and reasonable vapour production. It is a reassuring choice, both for beginner vapers and for those seeking a simple and effective everyday vape.

E-cigarette

Thanks to its balanced viscosity, a 50/50 e-liquid is compatible with the majority of versatile e-cigarettes, including:

Pods

This ratio also works very well with modern pods, appreciated for their simplicity and discretion:

Clearomizers

For a stable and hassle-free vape, choose versatile clearomizers capable of handling different inhalation styles:

Coils

The coil value should ideally be between 0.4 ohm and 1.2 ohm, for an adaptable, economical and enjoyable vape.

Drip tip

A drip tip standard 510 is generally recommended. Some vapers also use this ratio with more airy 810 drip tips without experiencing leaks, depending on the equipment used.

Power setting

An e-liquid with a 50/50 PG/VG ratio is compatible with a wide power range, generally between 10 and 40 watts, depending on the installed coil and the desired draw style.

Maintaining your e-cigarette

To make the most of your 50 ml e-liquid and extend the lifespan of your equipment:

  • Clean your clearomizer and drip tip regularly to avoid the build-up of residue;
  • Replace the coil as soon as flavours deteriorate or vapour decreases (on average every 2 to 3 weeks);
  • Avoid leaving a filled tank with the same e-liquid for more than 5 days without use, to limit the risk of leaks or flavour deterioration.

Usage precautions

  • If you do not smoke, do not vape;
  • Product containing nicotine: prohibited for minors, not recommended for pregnant women and people with cardiovascular disorders or hypertension;
  • In case of allergies, check for the possible presence of allergens (limonene, tree nuts, etc.) indicated on the label;
  • In case of skin contact, rinse thoroughly with water and soap;
  • Store your e-liquids in a dry place, away from light and temperature variations, out of reach of children and animals.

Think about recycling: empty bottles should be disposed of through appropriate channels.

FAQ

An e-liquid (or liquid for electronic cigarettes) is the product that generates vapour when heated by the coil of an electronic cigarette. Unlike traditional cigarettes, there is no combustion. The e-liquid is made up of a base (propylene glycol and vegetable glycerine), flavourings, and optionally nicotine. It determines the taste, the throat hit, the cloud production, and the overall vaping experience.

An e-liquid generally contains four elements:
  • propylene glycol (PG), which carries the flavours, enhances the throat hit and provides a sensation close to that of a cigarette;
  • vegetable glycerin (VG), responsible for the vapour and the density of the cloud;
  • flavourings, which give the taste (fruit, mint, classic tobacco, dessert, ice…);
  • nicotine, optional, which helps manage cravings in vapers who are quitting smoking.
Some formulas also use alternative plant-based bases (Végétol) for extra smoothness.

An e-liquid with nicotine is intended for vapers who wish to replace traditional cigarettes. Nicotine acts on the feeling of satisfaction and limits cravings. E-liquids without nicotine are used either at the end of a cessation programme, or purely for the pleasure of vaping, even though it is not recommended to vape if you are not a smoker. Choosing the right nicotine level is essential to avoid a poor experience (throat irritation or cravings). The nicotine dosage depends on your previous cigarette consumption. A light smoker will not have the same needs as a heavy smoker. A level that is too low can lead to frustration and relapse, whilst a level that is too high can cause throat discomfort. The goal is to find a balance between hit, sensation, and vaping comfort, even if it means adjusting gradually. We generally recommend a low dosage of 0, 3 or 6 mg/ml of nicotine for light smokers or occasional smokers (fewer than 7 cigarettes per day), and a high dosage of 20 mg/ml of nicotine salt for a heavy smoker (1 packet of cigarettes or more). However, this dosage can be adjusted depending on your e-cigarette and your vaping style.

Nicotine salt is a more stable and gentler form of nicotine for inhalation. It provides rapid absorption, with a less harsh throat hit, even at high concentrations. Nicotine salt e-liquids are particularly suited to beginner vapers, former heavy smokers, and low-powered MTL kits. There are different nicotine salt strengths. The best known and most effective is 20 mg/ml, which is very well suited to heavy smokers. However, a 10 mg/ml strength can work perfectly well for a regular or occasional smoker.

A nicotine booster is a nicotine-concentrated bottle designed to be added to a large-format e-liquid. It allows you to adjust the final nicotine level according to the quantity added. Flexible and cost-effective, this solution allows you to boost your large-format e-liquid to 3 or 6 mg/ml of nicotine. For a 50 ml e-liquid, adding one nicotine booster will give you 3 mg/ml, while two nicotine boosters will turn your e-liquid into 6 mg/ml.

The propylene glycol / vegetable glycerin ratio strongly influences the vaping experience.
  • An e-liquid rich in propylene glycol or PG (70/30, 80/20) enhances the throat hit, flavour accuracy and a discreet vape. The e-liquid will be thin and only compatible with MTL equipment with a tight draw to avoid leaks.
  • An e-liquid rich in vegetable glycerin or VG (30/70) produces more vapour and clouds, with a smoother, sweeter sensation. This thicker e-liquid will be compatible with sub-ohm or shisha-type electronic cigarettes, producing large vapour clouds at high wattage.
The choice therefore depends on the power and compatibility with your electronic cigarette. If in doubt, the most common ratio remains 50/50 PG/VG. Well-balanced, it allows versatile use across MTL, RDL and light DTL electronic cigarette models (approximately between 15 and 40 watts).

E-liquids with a vegetable base or Végétol replace traditional propylene glycol. They are often gentler on the throat, better tolerated by vapers who are sensitive to PG, and offer a smoother vape without compromising on flavour. However, they should be used in MTL with low wattage (minimum 30 watts) to avoid leakage risks and preserve the quality of the product.

Yes, CBD e-liquids are designed for vaping and generally do not contain nicotine. They offer a different sensation, focused on relaxation, without any addictive effect. They should be used at moderate wattage to preserve the quality of the product. A tight draw MTL e-cigarette is recommended for best results.

E-liquids are considered a much healthier alternative to smoked tobacco. They are formulated from ingredients certified as safe for health, unlike the 7,000 harmful substances found in traditional cigarettes. Nevertheless, to choose a safe e-liquid, a few precautions should be taken, such as buying your e-liquid from a recognised retailer like Le Vapoteur Discount, or checking the composition and origin by favouring reputable and regulated brands.

An e-liquid manufactured in France meets strict requirements and European directives regarding traceability, control, and safety. As a guarantee of quality and transparency for the consumer, French and European brands generally have their own laboratory for developing their e-liquid formula and are required to have this formulation studied by an independent laboratory before placing it on the market. All these steps ensure that e-liquids are safe for vapers. These French and European quality standards prohibit undesirable substances and provide a more secure framework for vaping.

To keep your e-liquid as long as possible and preserve its quality, taste and colour, you should keep it in its original bottle and ideally away from light, heat and air. Despite these precautions, it can happen that the e-liquid takes on a slightly brown tint. Safe and fit for consumption, this colour is due to the oxidation of nicotine and can also depend on the flavouring used in the e-liquid. It is generally recommended not to keep the same e-liquid for more than 5 days in your clearomiser or pod cartridge if you are not using it, to avoid leaks and excessive oxidation.

The DLUO (Date Limite d'Utilisation Optimale) or BBD (Best Before Date) is an indicative date. Once the e-liquid's date has passed, it may lose its taste qualities and its appearance (colour, fluidity). An e-liquid straight from the factory will have a BBD of approximately 2 years. Even past the BBD, the e-liquid remains suitable for vaping and will not be harmful to health.
