FAQ
The battery, often referred to as a box mod, is the heart of the e-cigarette. It provides the energy needed to heat the coil and produce vapour. Box mods allow you to manage power, battery life and sometimes different vaping modes. A distinction is mainly made between box mods with built-in batteries and those with removable batteries, depending on the type of power source used.
A box mod with a built-in battery has a non-removable battery that is rechargeable via USB. It is easy to use, compact and ideal for everyday vaping without any hassle. A box mod with removable batteries operates with one or more removable cells (18650 or 21700). It offers greater battery life, power and flexibility, but requires a good understanding of the safety rules relating to batteries.
The numbers correspond to the physical format of the battery cell.
- 18650s are the most widespread, versatile and compatible with many box mods.
- 21700s are more recent, offer better battery life and can handle higher power levels.
The choice depends on the box mod being used and the type of vaping experience sought.
The choice depends on several criteria: the power required, the desired battery life, the type of clearomiser used and the vaper's level of experience. Moderate vaping will be perfectly suited to a built-in battery, whilst more intense vaping will require a box mod with removable batteries to ensure performance and endurance.
No, provided you follow the essential safety rules: use quality batteries in good condition, suited to the power being used, and favour an external charger. Modern box mods incorporate many electronic protections that make them safe to use when used correctly.
Le Vapoteur Discount offers a carefully selected range of built-in battery box mods and 18650 or 21700 removable battery box mods from brands recognised for their reliability. With competitive prices, models to suit all vaper profiles and detailed product pages, you can be confident you are choosing a battery suited to your needs.
