The advantage of a concentrated DIY flavor

The DIY concentrated flavor gives you total creative freedom and an excellent value for money. By preparing your own e-liquid, you get personalized flavors perfectly suited to your taste, while controlling the nicotine dosage and composition.

It is also a more economical solution: a single bottle of flavoring can be used to prepare several dozen milliliters of e-liquid, at a lower cost than ready-to-vape e-liquids.

For demanding and creative vaping enthusiasts, DIY is a fun, customizable, and cost-effective experience.

Required equipment

To create your own DIY e-liquid, you will need the following elements:

• A concentrated flavor for DIY;
• A neutral PG/VG base (with or without nicotine);
• An additive (optional);
• One or more empty bottles to transport your mixes;
• A pipette or a graduated bottle;
• Latex gloves and safety glasses if you need to handle nicotine.

Before any handling, make sure to work on a clean surface, out of reach of children and animals.

DIY flavor dosage

A concentrated flavor must always be diluted in a PG/VG base. It should never be vaped on its own.

Depending on the manufacturer, a DIY flavor may have a different dilution rate, always expressed as a percentage: 4%, 10%, 15%, 20%, or 25%.

Concretely, in our 200 ml DIY Pack, this would give:

In a 50/50 PG/VG base

• 4% of the total volume = 8 ml of flavoring to add to your 200 ml base
• 10% of the total volume = 20 ml of flavoring to add to your 200 ml base
• 15% of the total volume = 30 ml of flavoring to add to your 200 ml base
• 20% of the total volume = 40 ml of flavoring to add to your 200 ml base
• 25% of the total volume = 50 ml of flavoring to add to your 200 ml base

In a 70/30 PG/VG base

If your neutral base contains more propylene glycol (a flavor enhancer), we recommend reducing the dosage of your flavoring (12 to 15%).

In a 30/70 PG/VG base

If your neutral base contains more vegetable glycerin (which softens flavors), we recommend adding a little more flavoring to your mix (15 to 17%).

DIY steeping

Let your e-liquid rest for a few days to a few weeks so the flavors develop fully. Some flavors require more steeping time than others:

• Simple fruit flavors: 0 to 5 days;
• Complex fruit flavors (raspberry, orange, apple, blackberry, watermelon...): 5 to 7 days;
• Menthol, spiced, vanilla, or anise flavors: 10 to 15 days;
• Dessert flavors: 15 to 20 days;
• Classic flavors: approximately 15 days.

After the steeping period, test your liquid. You can adjust the flavor by adding base to tone it down or by adding more flavoring to strengthen it if needed.

Storage of your concentrated flavor

To preserve all the qualities of your DIY e-liquid:

• Store it in a dry place, away from light and heat;
• Note the manufacturing date and ingredients on each bottle;
• Always store your preparations out of reach of children and animals.
