Even though Pyrex is sturdy, it remains fragile in the event of a drop or violent impact. To minimise the risks: use a silicone sleeve around the tank, avoid placing it directly on hard surfaces, and take care when assembling and disassembling the clearomiser. Regular maintenance and correct filling also reduce the stress placed on the glass.

Compatibility depends on your clearomiser or kit model. Check the diameter and shape of the tank as well as the type of connection with the top-cap. Manufacturers generally indicate whether the tank is compatible with a specific model.
