Pyrex is a borosilicate glass that is resistant to heat and thermal shocks. Unlike plastic, it does not deform with heat and does not retain flavours, which guarantees a pure taste faithful to your e-liquid. Pyrex tanks are also more durable and withstand repeated cleaning and cleaning products better, thus offering a more reliable vaping experience in the long term.
Even though pyrex is sturdy, it remains fragile in the event of a drop or violent impact. To minimise the risks: use a silicone sleeve around the tank, avoid placing it directly on hard surfaces, and take care when assembling and disassembling the clearomiser. Regular maintenance and correct filling also reduce the stress placed on the glass.
Compatibility depends on your clearomiser or kit model. Check the diameter and shape of the tank as well as the type of connection with the top-cap. Manufacturers generally indicate whether the tank is compatible with a specific model. Some kits even offer interchangeable tanks, which makes updating or replacing easier without having to change the entire clearomiser.
Leaks can come from poor assembly, a worn seal, or incorrect filling. Make sure the seals are clean and properly positioned, that the tank is correctly screwed on, and that you do not exceed the maximum fill capacity. For some models, the choice of e-liquid (PG/VG ratio) also influences leaks: an e-liquid that is too thin can flow into the airflow holes.
A well-maintained Pyrex tank can last several years. Clean it regularly with hot soapy water or a vinegar/bicarbonate mixture, rinse thoroughly and leave to air dry. Avoid aggressive cleaning or corrosive chemical products. Also inspect the seals and replace them if necessary, to ensure a perfect seal and optimal flavour with every vape.
