The Vapoteur Discount guide for your 20 ml e-liquid

Advantage of the 20 ml nicotine-free bottle

An e-liquid is a consumable for e-cigarettes exclusively. The 20 ml format is ideal for regular vapers looking for an excellent value for money. This large format allows you to vape longer without having to restock. Packaged in a "ready-to-boost" format, this e-liquid can be transformed into 3 mg/ml or 6 mg/ml.

Practical, affordable, flexible and easy to carry, the 50 ml bottle is suitable for all vapers at 0, 3 or 6 mg/ml nicotine who want to fully enjoy their favourite flavour!

How do I add nicotine to my e-liquid?

E-liquids in 20 ml nicotine-free format can be used without adding a nicotine booster. If you are an occasional or moderate smoker, we recommend adding one or two boosters to prepare your e-liquid at 3 or 6 mg/ml.

For a 3 mg/ml dosage:

  • Prepare your bottle and a nicotine booster at 9 mg/ml;
  • Add and fully dilute the nicotine booster inside the bottle;
  • Close your bottle and shake vigorously;
  • Wait 1 to 2 minutes before using your e-liquid at 3 mg/ml.

For a 6 mg/ml dosage:

  • Prepare your bottle and a nicotine booster at 18 mg/ml;
  • Add and fully dilute the nicotine booster inside the bottle;
  • Close your bottle and shake vigorously;
  • Wait 1 to 2 minutes before using your e-liquid at 6 mg/ml.

These bottles are designed to hold 1 nicotine booster. However, if you want more nicotine in your recipe, we recommend using large Chubby Gorilla 120 ml or Graduated Twist 120 ml bottles.

Choosing the right equipment for an e-liquid with a balanced PG/VG ratio (50/50)

E-cigarette: balanced PG/VG ratios are suitable for most versatile e-cigarettes such as the CoolFire Z80 by Innokin, the Kit Zelos M80 by Aspire, or the iStick T80 by Eleaf.

Pod: The Kit pod Soul 2 by GeekVape and the Vibe SE by Vaporesso.

Clearomizer: versatile models such as the Zenith 2 by Innokin, the GTX18 by Vaporesso, or the Zeus Nano 2 by GeekVape are compatible with a balanced PG/VG ratio.

Resistance: this ratio is ideal with coils between 1.2 ohm and 0.4 ohm.

Drip tip: a standard 510 format drip tip is preferred, but some vapers use it on open 810 models without noticing any leaks.

Power setting

A balanced PG/VG ratio (50/50) can suit a wide power range between 10 and 50 watts.

Regular maintenance

To ensure a long lifespan and optimal performance for your e-cigarette, regular maintenance is crucial:

  • Clean your clearomizer and drip tip frequently to avoid residue build-up;
  • Replace the coils as soon as you notice a change in taste and a decrease in performance (on average every 2 to 3 weeks);
  • Avoid leaving your tank full with the same e-liquid for more than 5 days without using it (risk of leakage, flavour deterioration).

Usage precautions

If you don't smoke, don't vape :)

This product containing nicotine is prohibited for minors, pregnant women, and people with cardiovascular problems or hypertension.

In case of allergies: check for any potential allergens in the composition (limonene, tree nuts, etc.) listed on the product label.

In case of skin contact: the pharmaceutical nicotine contained in e-liquids can be an irritant for the skin of sensitive individuals. If contact occurs over a large skin surface, rinse thoroughly with water and soap.

Storage of your e-liquids: store your e-liquids in a dry place, away from light and temperature changes. Also keep out of reach of children and pets.

Out of respect for the environment and recycling, we would appreciate it if you disposed of empty bottles in the appropriate bins.

FAQ

An e-liquid (or electronic cigarette liquid) is the product that generates vapour when heated by the coil of an electronic cigarette. Unlike traditional cigarettes, there is no combustion. The e-liquid is composed of a base (propylene glycol and vegetable glycerine), flavourings, and optionally nicotine. It determines the taste, throat hit, cloud production, and overall vaping experience.

An e-liquid generally contains four elements:
  • propylene glycol (PG), which carries the flavourings, enhances the throat hit and provides a sensation close to that of a cigarette;
  • vegetable glycerin (VG), responsible for the vapour and the density of the cloud;
  • flavourings, which provide the taste (fruit, mint, classic blonde, indulgent, ice…);
  • nicotine, optional, which helps manage cravings for vapers who are giving up smoking.
Some formulas also use alternative plant-based bases (Végétol) for extra smoothness.

An e-liquid with nicotine is intended for vapers who wish to replace traditional cigarettes. Nicotine acts on the sensation of satisfaction and limits cravings. E-liquids without nicotine are used either at the end of a cessation programme, or purely for the pleasure of vaping, although it is not recommended to vape if you are not a smoker. Choosing the right nicotine level is essential to avoid a poor experience (irritation or cravings). The nicotine dosage depends on your previous cigarette consumption. A light smoker will not have the same needs as a heavy smoker. A level that is too low can lead to frustration and relapse, while a level that is too high can cause throat discomfort. The aim is to find a balance between throat hit, sensation, and vaping comfort, adjusting gradually as needed. A low dosage of 0, 3 or 6 mg/ml of nicotine is generally recommended for light smokers or occasional smokers (fewer than 7 cigarettes per day), and a high dosage of 20 mg/ml of nicotine salt for heavy smokers (1 packet of cigarettes or more). However, this dosage can be adjusted depending on your e-cigarette and your vaping style.

Nicotine salt is a more stable form of nicotine that is smoother to inhale. It provides rapid absorption, with a less harsh throat hit, even at high strengths. Nicotine salt e-liquids are particularly suited to beginner vapers, former heavy smokers, and low-wattage MTL kits. There are different nicotine salt strengths. The most well-known and effective being 20 mg/ml, which is very suitable for heavy smokers. However, a 10 mg/ml strength can work very well for a regular or occasional smoker.

A nicotine booster is a nicotine-concentrated bottle designed to be added to a large-format e-liquid. It allows you to adjust the final nicotine level according to the quantity added. Flexible and economical, this solution allows you to boost your large-format e-liquid to 3 or 6 mg/ml of nicotine. For a 50 ml e-liquid, adding one nicotine booster will give you 3 mg/ml, while two nicotine boosters will transform your e-liquid into 6 mg/ml.

The propylene glycol / vegetable glycerin ratio strongly influences the vape.
  • An e-liquid rich in propylene glycol or PG (70/30, 80/20) enhances the throat hit, flavour accuracy and a discreet vape. The e-liquid will be fluid and compatible only with MTL devices with a tight draw to avoid leaks.
  • An e-liquid rich in vegetable glycerin or VG (30/70) produces more vapour and clouds, with a smoother, sweeter sensation. This thicker e-liquid will be compatible with sub-ohm or hookah-style e-cigarettes, producing large vapour clouds at high wattage.
The choice therefore depends on the power and compatibility with your e-cigarette. If in doubt, the most common ratio remains 50/50 PG/VG. Balanced, it allows versatile use on MTL, RDL and light DTL e-cigarette models (between approximately 15 and 40 watts).

E-liquids with a vegetable base or Végétol replace traditional propylene glycol. They are often gentler on the throat, better tolerated by some vapers who are sensitive to PG, and offer a smoother vape without compromising on flavour. However, they should be used in MTL with a low wattage (minimum 30 watts) to avoid the risk of leaks and preserve the quality of the product.

Yes, CBD e-liquids are designed for vaping and generally do not contain nicotine. They offer a different sensation, focused on relaxation, without any addictive effect. They should be used at moderate wattage to preserve the quality of the product. A tight-draw MTL e-cigarette is recommended for use with them.

E-liquids are considered a much healthier alternative to smoked tobacco. They are formulated from ingredients certified as safe for health, unlike the 7,000 harmful substances found in traditional cigarettes. However, to choose a safe e-liquid, a few precautions should be taken, such as buying your e-liquid from a recognised retailer like Le Vapoteur Discount or checking the composition and origin by favouring reputable and regulated brands.

An e-liquid manufactured in France meets strict requirements and European directives regarding traceability, control, and safety. As a guarantee of quality and transparency for the consumer, French and European brands generally have their own laboratory for developing their e-liquid formula and are required to have this formulation studied by an independent laboratory before it is placed on the market. All these steps ensure that e-liquids are safe for vapers. These French and European quality standards prohibit undesirable substances and provide a more secure framework for vaping.

To preserve your e-liquid for as long as possible and maintain its quality, taste and colour, you should keep it in its original bottle and ideally away from light, heat and air. Despite these precautions, it can happen that the e-liquid takes on a slightly brown tint. Safe and fit for consumption, this colour is due to the oxidation of the nicotine and can also depend on the flavouring used in the e-liquid. It is generally recommended not to keep the same e-liquid for more than 5 days in your clearomiser or pod cartridge if you are not using it, to avoid leaks and excessive oxidation.

The DLUO (Date Limite d'Utilisation Optimale) or BBD (Best Before Date) is an indicative date. Once the e-liquid's date has passed, it may lose its taste qualities and appearance (colour, fluidity). An e-liquid fresh from the factory will have a BBD of approximately 2 years. Even past its BBD, the e-liquid remains suitable for vaping and will not be dangerous to health.
