An e-liquid (or liquid for electronic cigarettes) is the product that generates vapour when heated by the coil of an electronic cigarette. Unlike traditional cigarettes, there is no combustion. The propylene glycol / vegetable glycerin ratio has a strong influence on the vaping experience.

• An e-liquid rich in propylene glycol or PG (70/30, 80/20) enhances the throat hit, flavour precision, and a discreet vape. The e-liquid will be fluid and only compatible with MTL equipment with a tight draw to avoid leaks.

The choice therefore depends on the wattage and compatibility with your electronic cigarette. If in doubt, the most common ratio remains 50/50 PG/VG. Balanced, it allows versatile use across MTL, RDL, and light DTL electronic cigarette models (approximately between 15 and 40 watts).

Vegetable-based or Végétol e-liquids replace traditional propylene glycol. They are often gentler on the throat, better tolerated by vapers who are sensitive to PG, and provide a smoother vape without compromising on flavour. However, they should be used in MTL mode at low wattage (minimum 30 watts) to avoid the risk of leaks and to preserve the quality of the product.

The DLUO (Best Before Date) or BBE (Best Before End) is an indicative date. Once the e-liquid's date has passed, it may lose its taste qualities and appearance (colour, fluidity). A factory-fresh e-liquid will have a BBE of around 2 years. Even after the BBE has passed, the e-liquid remains fit for vaporisation and will not be harmful to health.
