Essential to any e-cigarette, the e-liquid is the heart of your vaping experience. The 10 ml format is currently the only one authorized to contain nicotine under European regulations. Compact, practical and easy to carry, it allows you to test a flavor, adjust your nicotine level, or vape daily with complete ease.
It is also the ideal format for supporting a tobacco reduction or cessation journey, at your own pace.
The right nicotine level depends above all on your smoker profile and your habits. The goal is to satisfy the craving without discomfort, while keeping the vaping experience pleasant.
Light smoker (fewer than 5 cigarettes per day)
0 to 6 mg/ml
A gentle dosage, sufficient to curb the urge to smoke while offering a light throat sensation.
Moderate smoker (5 to 15 cigarettes per day)
6 to 12 mg/ml
An ideal balance to find a sensation close to a regular cigarette, without frustration.
Intense smoker (more than 15 cigarettes per day)
12 to 18 mg/ml
A higher level, designed to meet a significant nicotine need, especially at the start of quitting.
Heavy smoker (more than 20 cigarettes per day)
18 to 20 mg/ml
The maximum authorized dosage, often associated with nicotine salts, for faster absorption and a smoother sensation.
These indications are guidelines only: every vaper is unique. Your personal experience, the throat hit, and the equipment you use may lead you to adjust your dosage.
Thanks to their high propylene glycol content, these e-liquids are fluid, highly aromatic, and deliver a pronounced hit. They are perfectly suited to indirect (MTL) vaping, close to the sensation of a cigarette.
High-PG e-liquids fully express themselves on compact devices focused on flavor delivery, such as:
They also work very well with high-performance pods that are easy to use:
For optimal flavor reproduction, opt for MTL-oriented clearomizers, such as:
Ideally, small coils ranging between 1.2 ohm and 1.8 ohm are preferred, for a smooth, economical, and flavorful vape.
A slim and elongated drip tip 510 is recommended to concentrate the aromas and enhance the mouth feel.
High-PG e-liquids do not require high wattage.
Vaping at under 20 watts is more than sufficient to fully enjoy the flavors, while extending the life of your coils.
Regular maintenance is essential to ensure a healthy, flavorful, and long-lasting vape:
Think about recycling: empty bottles must be disposed of through appropriate channels.

An e-liquid (or liquid for electronic cigarettes) is the product that generates vapour when heated by the coil of an electronic cigarette. Unlike traditional cigarettes, there is no combustion. E-liquid is made up of a base (propylene glycol and vegetable glycerine), flavourings, and optionally nicotine. It determines the taste, throat hit, cloud production, and overall vaping experience.
An e-liquid generally contains four elements:
Some formulas also use alternative vegetable bases (Végétol) for added smoothness.
An e-liquid with nicotine is intended for vapers who wish to replace traditional cigarettes. Nicotine acts on the feeling of satisfaction and reduces cravings. Nicotine-free e-liquids are used either at the end of a cessation programme or purely for the pleasure of vaping, although it is not recommended to vape if you are not a smoker. Choosing the right nicotine level is essential to avoid a poor experience (irritation or cravings). The nicotine dosage depends on your previous cigarette consumption. A light smoker will not have the same needs as a heavy smoker. A level that is too low can lead to frustration and relapse, while a level that is too high can cause throat discomfort. The aim is to find a balance between hit, sensation and vaping comfort, and to adjust gradually if needed. It is generally recommended to use a low dosage of 0, 3 or 6 mg/ml of nicotine for light or occasional smokers (fewer than 7 cigarettes per day) and a high dosage of 20 mg/ml of nicotine salt for a heavy smoker (1 packet of cigarettes or more). However, this dosage can be adjusted depending on your electronic cigarette and your vaping style.
Nicotine salt is a more stable and smoother form of nicotine to inhale. It provides rapid absorption, with a less harsh throat hit, even at high levels. Nicotine salt e-liquids are particularly suited to beginner vapers, former heavy smokers, and low-wattage MTL kits. There are various nicotine salt dosages available. The most well-known and effective is 20 mg/ml, highly suited to heavy smokers. However, a 10 mg/ml dosage can work very well for a regular or occasional smoker.
A nicotine booster is a concentrated nicotine bottle designed to be added to a large-format e-liquid. It allows you to adjust the final nicotine level depending on the quantity added. Flexible and cost-effective, this solution lets you boost your large-format e-liquid to 3 or 6 mg/ml of nicotine. For a 50 ml e-liquid, adding one nicotine booster will give you 3 mg/ml, while two nicotine boosters will turn your e-liquid into a 6 mg/ml.
The propylene glycol / vegetable glycerin ratio strongly influences the vaping experience.
The choice therefore depends on the wattage and compatibility with your electronic cigarette. If in doubt, the most common ratio remains 50/50 PG/VG. Balanced, it allows versatile use across MTL, RDL and light DTL electronic cigarette models (between approximately 15 and 40 watts).
Vegetable-based e-liquids or those made with Végétol replace traditional propylene glycol. They are often gentler on the throat, better tolerated by vapers who are sensitive to PG, and offer a smoother vape without compromising on flavour. However, they should be used in MTL mode at low wattage (minimum 30 watts) to avoid the risk of leaks and to preserve the quality of the product.
Yes, CBD e-liquids are designed for vaping and generally contain no nicotine. They offer a different sensation, focused on relaxation, with no addictive effect. They should be used at moderate wattage to preserve the quality of the product. A tight-draw MTL e-cigarette is recommended for use with them.
E-liquids are considered a much healthier alternative to smoked tobacco. They are formulated from ingredients certified as safe for health, unlike the 7,000 harmful substances found in traditional cigarettes. Nevertheless, to choose a safe e-liquid, a few precautions should be taken, such as buying your e-liquid from a recognised retailer like Le Vapoteur Discount or checking the composition and origin by favouring reputable and controlled brands.
An e-liquid manufactured in France meets strict requirements and European directives regarding traceability, quality control, and safety. As a guarantee of quality and transparency for the consumer, French and European brands generally have their own laboratory for developing their e-liquid formula and are required to have this formulation assessed by an independent laboratory before it is brought to market. These steps ensure that e-liquids are safe for vapers. French and European quality standards prohibit undesirable substances and provide a more secure framework for vaping.
To keep your e-liquid as long as possible and preserve its quality, taste, and colour, you should store it in its original bottle, ideally away from light, heat, and air. Despite these precautions, the e-liquid may sometimes take on a slightly brown tint. Harmless and safe to consume, this colour is due to the oxidation of the nicotine and may also depend on the flavouring used in the e-liquid. It is generally recommended not to keep the same e-liquid in your clearomiser or pod cartridge for more than 5 days if you are not using it, in order to avoid leaks and excessive oxidation.
The DLUO (Best Before Date) or DDM (Minimum Durability Date) is an indicative date. Once the e-liquid's date has passed, it may lose its taste qualities and appearance (colour, consistency). An e-liquid fresh from the factory will have a DDM of approximately 2 years. Even past the DDM, the e-liquid remains suitable for vaporisation and will not be harmful to health.
