The Le Vapoteur Discount guide for your vegetable-based e-liquid
Benefits of a 100% vegetable base
Vegetable-based e-liquids represent a more natural alternative that is often better tolerated than traditional e-liquids. Instead of propylene glycol, they contain components derived from plant-based resources such as Végétol, Olivéine or Vegetable Mono Propylene Glycol (VMPG).
These bases offer several advantages: they are gentler on the throat, reduce the risk of irritation or dryness, and are better suited to vapers who are sensitive to or allergic to standard PG.
Végétol, for example, is recognised for better carrying nicotine, with fast and effective diffusion, while ensuring excellent flavour stability.
Eco-responsible, better tolerated and often compatible with indirect inhalation vaping (MTL), these vegetable bases are increasingly appealing to vapers looking for a healthier and more natural experience.
Several nicotine levels to support you through your withdrawal
Light smoker (fewer than 5 cigarettes per day): 3 to 6 mg/ml of nicotine. If you smoke little, a low nicotine level may be enough to satisfy your tobacco cravings.
Moderate smoker (5 to 15 cigarettes per day): 6 to 12 mg/ml of nicotine. For those who smoke regularly, a moderate nicotine level will help you find the sensations and satisfaction that match your habits.
Intensive smoker (more than 15 cigarettes per day): 12 to 18 mg/ml of nicotine. If you smoke heavily, you will likely need a high nicotine level to compensate for the strong withdrawal sensation and the urge to smoke.
Heavy smoker (more than 20 cigarettes per day): 18 and 20 mg/ml of nicotine. Heavy smokers need the maximum nicotine level to counterbalance the effects of withdrawal and quitting smoking.
This estimate is for guidance only; every vaper is unique and may reconsider their nicotine level based on their throat sensation and the device used.
Equipment selection for vegetable-based e-liquids
Vegetable-based e-liquids offer a balance suited to versatile e-cigarettes and compact pod-style devices. They should be kept away from sub-ohm models with coils between 0.4 and 0.15 ohm, which are too airy.
E-cigarette: vegetable-based e-liquids are compatible with the majority of versatile e-cigarettes such as the CoolFire Z80 by Innokin, the Zelos M80 Kit by Aspire or the iStick T80 by Eleaf.
Pod: The Soul 2 Pod Kit by GeekVape and the Vibe SE by Vaporesso.
Clearomizer: versatile models such as the Zenith 2 by Innokin, the GTX18 by Vaporesso or the Zeus Nano 2 by GeekVape are compatible with vegetable-based e-liquids.
Coil: ideal with coils between 1.2 ohm and 0.4 ohm maximum.
Drip tip: a standard 510 format drip tip is preferred.
Power setting
A setting between 10 and 30 watts is suitable for vegetable-based e-liquids.
Regular maintenance
To guarantee a long lifespan and optimal performance for your e-cigarette, regular maintenance is essential:
• Clean your clearomizer and drip tip frequently to avoid the build-up of residue;
• Replace the coils as soon as you notice a deterioration in taste and a decrease in performance (on average every 2 to 3 weeks);
• Avoid leaving your tank full with the same e-liquid for more than 5 days without using it (risk of leaks, flavour degradation).
Usage precautions
If you do not smoke, do not vape :)
This product containing nicotine is prohibited for minors, pregnant women, people with cardiovascular problems, and those with high blood pressure.
In case of allergies: check for any potential allergens in the composition (limonene, tree nuts, etc.), listed on the product label.
In case of skin contact: the pharmaceutical nicotine contained in e-liquids can be an irritant for the skin of sensitive individuals. In case of contact with a large skin surface, rinse thoroughly with water and soap.
Storage of your e-liquids: store your e-liquids in a dry place, away from light and temperature changes. Also keep out of reach of children and pets.
Out of respect for the environment and recycling, we would be grateful if you could dispose of empty bottles in the appropriate bins.

FAQ
An e-liquid (or electronic cigarette liquid) is the product that generates vapour when heated by the coil of an electronic cigarette. Unlike traditional cigarettes, there is no combustion. The e-liquid is composed of a base (propylene glycol and vegetable glycerine), flavourings, and optionally nicotine. It determines the taste, throat hit, cloud production, and overall vaping experience.
An e-liquid generally contains four elements:
- propylene glycol (PG), which carries the flavourings, enhances the throat hit and provides a sensation close to that of a cigarette;
- vegetable glycerin (VG), responsible for the vapour and the density of the cloud;
- flavourings, which provide the taste (fruit, mint, classic blonde, gourmet, ice…);
- nicotine, optional, which helps manage cravings for vapers who are quitting smoking.
An e-liquid with nicotine is intended for vapers who wish to replace the traditional cigarette. Nicotine acts on the feeling of satisfaction and limits cravings. Nicotine-free e-liquids are used either at the end of a cessation programme, or purely for the pleasure of vaping, even though it is not recommended to vape if you are not a smoker. Choosing the right nicotine level is essential to avoid a bad experience (throat irritation or cravings).
The nicotine dosage depends on your previous cigarette consumption. A light smoker will not have the same needs as a heavy smoker. A level that is too low can lead to frustration and relapse, whilst a level that is too high can cause throat discomfort. The aim is to find a balance between throat hit, sensation and vaping comfort, adjusting gradually as needed.
A low dosage of 0, 3 or 6 mg/ml of nicotine is generally recommended for light smokers or occasional smokers (fewer than 7 cigarettes per day), and a high dosage of 20 mg/ml of nicotine salts for heavy smokers (1 packet of cigarettes or more). However, this dosage can be adjusted depending on your electronic cigarette and your vaping style.
Nicotine salt is a more stable form of nicotine that is smoother to inhale. It provides fast absorption, with a less harsh throat hit, even at high levels. Nicotine salt e-liquids are particularly suited to beginner vapers, former heavy smokers, and low-wattage MTL kits.
There are different nicotine salt dosages. The best-known and most effective is 20 mg/ml, which is highly suited to heavy smokers. However, a 10 mg/ml dosage can work very well for a regular or occasional smoker.
A nicotine booster is a concentrated nicotine bottle, designed to be added to a large-format e-liquid. It allows you to adjust the final nicotine level depending on the quantity added. Flexible and economical, this solution allows you to boost your large-format e-liquid to 3 or 6 mg/ml of nicotine. For a 50 ml e-liquid, adding one nicotine booster will give you 3 mg/ml, while two nicotine boosters will transform your e-liquid into 6 mg/ml.
The propylene glycol / vegetable glycerin ratio strongly influences the vape.
- An e-liquid rich in propylene glycol or PG (70/30, 80/20) enhances the throat hit, flavour precision, and a discreet vape. The e-liquid will be thin and only compatible with MTL equipment with a tight draw to avoid leaks.
- An e-liquid rich in vegetable glycerin or VG (30/70) produces more vapour and clouds, with a smoother, sweeter sensation. This thicker e-liquid will be compatible with sub-ohm or hookah-style e-cigarettes, producing large vapour clouds at high wattage.
E-liquids with a vegetable base or with Végétol replace traditional propylene glycol. They are often gentler on the throat, better tolerated by vapers who are sensitive to PG, and provide a smoother vape without compromising on flavour. However, they should be used in MTL with a low wattage (minimum 30 watts) to avoid the risk of leaks and preserve the quality of the product.
Yes, CBD e-liquids are designed for vaping and generally do not contain nicotine. They offer a different sensation, focused on relaxation, without addictive effects. They should be used at moderate wattage to preserve the quality of the product. A tight-draw MTL e-cigarette is recommended for use with them.
E-liquids are considered a much healthier alternative to smoked tobacco. They are formulated from ingredients certified as safe for health, unlike the 7,000 harmful substances found in traditional cigarettes. Nevertheless, to choose a safe e-liquid, a few precautions should be taken, such as purchasing your e-liquid from a recognised retailer like Le Vapoteur Discount or checking the composition and origin by favouring reputable and regulated brands.
An e-liquid manufactured in France meets strict requirements and European directives regarding traceability, control, and safety. As a guarantee of quality and transparency for the consumer, French and European brands generally have their own laboratory for developing their e-liquid formula and are required to have this formulation studied by an independent laboratory before it goes to market. All these steps ensure that e-liquids are safe for vapers. These French and European quality standards prohibit undesirable substances and provide a more secure framework for vaping.
To keep your e-liquid as long as possible and preserve its quality, taste and colour, it should be kept in its original bottle and ideally away from light, heat and air. Despite these precautions, it can happen that the e-liquid takes on a slightly brown tint. Harmless and safe for consumption, this colour is due to the oxidation of the nicotine and can also depend on the flavouring used in the e-liquid. It is generally advisable not to keep the same e-liquid for more than 5 days in your clearomiser or pod cartridge if you are not using it, to avoid leaks and excessive oxidation.
The DLUO (Date Limite d'Utilisation Optimale) or BBD (Best Before Date) is an indicative date. Once the e-liquid's date has passed, it may lose its taste qualities and its appearance (colour, fluidity). An e-liquid fresh from the factory will have a BBD of approximately 2 years. Even past the BBD, the e-liquid remains suitable for vaping and will not be harmful to health.
