Merci d’avoir pris le temps de nous faire part de votre avis suite à votre commande du 26-02-2025.
Nous sommes désolés d’apprendre que le produit reçu n’a pas été à la hauteur de vos attentes. FAQ
The difference between an MTL (Mouth To Lung) and DTL (Direct To Lung) electronic cigarette concerns the type of inhalation. With MTL, the vapour is first held in the mouth before being inhaled, as with a traditional cigarette. With DTL, the vapour is inhaled directly into the lungs, producing a larger volume of vapour, like a shisha. MTL is often recommended for new vapers who wish to stop smoking, while DTL is aimed at more experienced vapers who have already successfully made the transition from tobacco to vaping.
To get started, it is advisable to choose an e-cigarette that is easy to use, with few settings, moderate power and a tight draw (MTL). "Pod" kits or starter kits are generally the most suitable for a successful first experience. However, some new vapers, comfortable with settings and maintenance, will prefer to go for more advanced and adjustable equipment. It all depends on each person's comfort level.
A heavy smoker will need a reliable e-cigarette, offering good battery life (between 1200 and 5000 mAh) and a tight draw to better absorb nicotine and avoid cravings. Versatile kits compatible with MTL and RDL (tight or slightly airy draw) are often an excellent compromise for an effective transition to vaping. This e-cigarette should be paired with nicotine salt e-liquids to effectively satisfy cravings.
The lifespan of an electronic cigarette depends on its quality, maintenance, and frequency of use. On average, a well-maintained kit can last several months, or even several years, by only replacing wear components such as coils or cartridges. It is estimated that the lithium battery inside an electronic cigarette has an optimal lifespan of 300 charge/discharge cycles before gradually declining. In order to extend this lifespan, make sure to charge your electronic cigarette using mains sockets of 1A maximum (unless otherwise indicated by the manufacturer) in order to minimise heat build-up in the electronics.
Good news! The e-cigarette is becoming increasingly accessible for all budgets, and you are in the right place at Le Vapoteur Discount to enjoy the best prices on the web. The average price of an e-cigarette is estimated at 35 euros. You will find e-cigarettes for as little as 10 euros for the smallest models, and up to 80 euros for the most advanced ones.
The e-cigarette is considered significantly less harmful than the traditional cigarette, as it does not rely on combustion. It is primarily used as an alternative to tobacco to reduce the risks associated with smoking. It is often described as "a healthier alternative" to tobacco or a "cessation aid" for the traditional cigarette. When used correctly (preferably in MTL mode), combined with good e-liquids (French and certified) and maintained regularly (cleaning and changing the coil every 2 weeks), it becomes a very effective tool for quitting tobacco, which itself is very dangerous.
Many smokers use the e-cigarette as a tool to quit smoking. By replicating the gesture, the sensation, the inhalation and the nicotine intake, it facilitates the gradual cessation of tobacco. Success depends on using it in an appropriate way: the right inhalation (MTL), the right flavour, the right nicotine level, the right design and a level of maintenance that suits the vaper. Every smoker is unique and will require a strategy tailored to their needs, but the latest studies (such as the Cochrane study of 1st March 2025) show that: "Nicotine e-cigarettes can help people stop smoking for at least six months. Evidence suggests they work better than nicotine replacement therapies, and probably better than nicotine-free e-cigarettes.". The use of nicotine salt e-liquids would also be an asset: "However, we still need more evidence, particularly on the effects of newer types of e-cigarettes that deliver nicotine better than older ones, as better nicotine delivery could help more people to stop smoking."
Most e-cigarettes offer automatic power adjustment by detecting the resistance value (auto or smart mode). Other models offer the option of precise manual adjustment. To find the right power for your e-cigarette, you need to look at the recommendations printed on the coil (or pod cartridge). There you will find the recommended power range for optimal use. Tip: if your coil is new, remember to leave it immersed in the e-liquid for a few minutes so that it does not burn on first use. Also set the power to the lowest level compared to what is recommended by the manufacturer for the first few puffs.
Maintaining an e-cigarette is straightforward. It mainly involves cleaning the tank or cartridge and replacing the coil when it is worn out. Regular maintenance ensures a healthier vape, better performance and a longer lifespan. On average, a coil should be changed every 2 to 3 weeks at most. Take the opportunity to thoroughly clean your clearomiser or cartridge. The drip tip alone can be cleaned with soapy water every day if you wish.
An e-cigarette with a built-in battery charges directly via a USB cable and is simple to use. Models with removable batteries allow you to replace the battery, often offering greater autonomy, power and longevity, but require a little more initial cost, knowledge and equipment to safely charge and carry those batteries.
Yes, you are allowed to take an electronic cigarette on a plane, but only in the cabin. It must be switched off and not used during the flight. Batteries are not permitted in the hold for safety reasons. As for your e-liquids, they must not exceed 100 ml to travel with you in the cabin. Remember to carry your e-liquid bottles and your clearomiser (or pod cartridge) in a sealed plastic bag. These can leak due to the change in pressure inside the plane.
If you are travelling abroad, remember to check the legislation regarding electronic cigarettes. Some countries prohibit their use and may expose you to fines (examples in 2026: Cambodia, India, Laos, Qatar, Singapore, Thailand). Others allow the possession of an electronic cigarette, but you will not find any vape shops to buy your e-liquids.
