Watermelon Strawberry Kiwi Frozen Beast concentrate: the recipe in DIY format

From the Frozen Beast range by Secret's Lab, this 30 ml concentrate recreates the recipe of the Watermelon Strawberry Kiwi 100 ml Frozen Beast e-liquid for your DIY preparations. Watermelon opens the tasting experience, soon joined by the sweetness of strawberry. Kiwi adds a slight tanginess, while an icy wave rounds off the puff without masking the fruit flavours.

Dilute at 8% in a 50/50 PG/VG base, with a steeping time of at least 48 hours.

What is a DIY concentrated flavouring?

DIY concentrated flavouring allows you to make your own e-liquid. By diluting it in a neutral PG/VG base, you can choose the ratio of your mix and your nicotine strength, to create a preparation suited to your equipment and vaping style.

A 30 ml bottle of concentrated flavouring allows you to prepare several dozen millilitres of e-liquid, depending on the dosage recommended by the manufacturer.

Required equipment

To make your own DIY e-liquid, you will need:

• A concentrated flavouring for DIY;
• A neutral PG/VG base (with or without nicotine);
• An additive (optional);
• One or more empty bottles to store your mixes;
• A pipette or a graduated bottle;
• Latex gloves and safety goggles if you need to handle nicotine.

Before handling anything, make sure you work on a clean, washed surface, out of reach of children and animals.

DIY flavouring dosage

A concentrated flavouring must be diluted in a PG/VG base and cannot be vaped on its own.

Depending on the manufacturer, a DIY flavouring has a different dilution rate, always expressed as a percentage. Frozen Beast concentrates should be dosed at 8%.

In practical terms, with our 200 ml 50/50 PG/VG DIY Pack, this would be:

• 8% of the total volume in a 50/50 PG/VG base = 16 ml of flavouring to add to your 200 ml base

In a 70/30 base:

If your neutral base contains more propylene glycol (a flavour enhancer), we recommend slightly reducing the dosage of your flavouring.

In a 30/70 base:

If your neutral base contains more vegetable glycerine (which mutes flavours), we recommend adding a little more flavouring to your mix.

Steeping

Let your e-liquid rest so the flavours can fully develop. Secret's Lab recommends a steeping time of at least 48 hours for Frozen Beast concentrates.

After the steeping period, test your e-liquid. You can adjust the flavour by adding base to make it milder or flavouring to make it stronger, if necessary.

Storage

To preserve all the qualities of your DIY e-liquid:

• Store it in a dry place, away from light and heat;
• Write the manufacturing date and ingredients on each bottle;
• Always keep your preparations out of reach of children and animals.
