An e-liquid (or e-cigarette liquid) is the product that generates vapour when heated by the coil of an e-cigarette. Unlike traditional cigarettes, there is no combustion. The propylene glycol / vegetable glycerin ratio strongly influences the vape.

• An e-liquid rich in propylene glycol or PG (70/30, 80/20) enhances the throat hit, flavour precision and a discreet vape. The e-liquid will be fluid and compatible only with MTL equipment with a tight draw to avoid leaks.
• An e-liquid rich in vegetable glycerin or VG (30/70) produces more vapour and cloud, with a smoother, sweeter sensation. This thicker e-liquid will be compatible with sub-ohm or hookah-type e-cigarettes, producing large vapour clouds at high power.

The choice therefore depends on the power and compatibility with your e-cigarette. If in doubt, the most common ratio remains 50/50 PG/VG. Balanced, it allows versatile use on MTL, RDL and light DTL e-cigarette models (between approximately 15 and 40 watts).

E-liquids with a vegetable base or with Végétol replace traditional propylene glycol. The BBD (Best Before Date) or MHD (Minimum Durability Date) is an indicative date. Once the e-liquid's date has passed, it may lose its taste qualities and appearance (colour, fluidity). An e-liquid fresh from the factory will have a BBD of around 2 years. Even past its BBD, the e-liquid remains suitable for vaporisation and will not be harmful to health.
