FAQ
The battery, often called a box mod, is the heart of the electronic cigarette. It provides the energy needed to heat the coil and produce vapour. Box mods allow you to manage power, battery life and sometimes different vaping modes. There are two main types: box mods with a built-in battery and box mods with removable batteries, depending on the type of power source used.
A box mod with a built-in battery has a non-removable battery, rechargeable via USB. It is easy to use, compact and ideal for everyday vaping without any hassle.
A box mod with removable batteries operates with one or more removable cells (18650 or 21700). It offers more autonomy, power and flexibility, but requires a good understanding of the safety rules related to batteries.
The numbers correspond to the physical format of the battery.
- The 18650 are the most widespread, versatile and compatible with many box mods.
- The 21700 are more recent, offer better battery life and support higher wattages.
The choice depends on several criteria: the required power, the desired battery life, the type of clearomiser used and the vaper's level of experience. Moderate vaping will be perfectly suited to an integrated battery, while more intense vaping will require a box mod with removable batteries to ensure performance and endurance.
No, as long as you follow essential safety rules: use quality batteries in good condition, suited to the wattage used, and opt for an external charger. Modern mods incorporate numerous electronic protections that make them safe to use when handled correctly.
Le Vapoteur Discount offers a rigorous selection of built-in battery mods and 18650 or 21700 battery mods, from brands recognised for their reliability. With competitive prices, models for all vaper profiles and detailed product pages, you can be confident you are choosing a battery suited to your needs.
