FAQ
The battery, often called a box mod, is the heart of the electronic cigarette. It provides the energy needed to heat the coil and produce vapour. Box mods allow you to manage power, battery life and sometimes different vaping modes. There are mainly two types: integrated battery box mods and removable battery box mods, depending on the type of power supply used.
A box mod with an integrated battery has a non-removable battery, rechargeable via USB. It is easy to use, compact and ideal for everyday vaping without any hassle.
A box mod with removable batteries operates with one or more removable cells (18650 or 21700). It offers greater autonomy, power and flexibility, but requires a good understanding of battery safety rules.
The numbers correspond to the physical format of the battery.
- 18650s are the most widespread, versatile and compatible with many box mods.
- 21700s are newer, offer better battery life and support higher wattages.
The choice depends on several criteria: the power required, the desired battery life, the type of clearomiser used and the vaper's level of experience. Moderate vaping will be perfectly suited to an integrated battery, while more intense vaping will require a box mod with external batteries to ensure performance and endurance.
No, as long as you follow the essential safety rules: use quality batteries in good condition, suited to the power being used, and opt for an external charger. Modern box mods incorporate numerous electronic protections that make them safe to use when handled correctly.
Le Vapoteur Discount offers a rigorous selection of built-in battery mods and 18650 or 21700 battery mods, from brands recognised for their reliability. With competitive prices, models for all vaper profiles and detailed product pages, you can be confident you are choosing a battery suited to your needs.
