Vape tricks: the artists of vaping
A focus on a phenomenon that is growing ever bigger!
There are mainly 2 types of users in the world of vaping. On one hand there are ex-smokers who use vaping as a nicotine substitute to quit, and on the other hand, those who vape for pleasure! With the popularisation of vaping, artists have even emerged from this second category, capable of performing true artistic feats for our greatest amazement: vape tricks! A focus on a phenomenon that is growing ever bigger!
For a few years now, artists of a new kind have been pushing the limits of vaping by reproducing original "moves" with the vapour from their e-cigarette! These individuals, who call themselves Cloud chasers, have created a real craze around their feats; particularly on social media and on YouTube. These vape artists also give demonstrations to audiences at international trade shows, such as Vapexpo in France for example. Many vape shops also bring together, in a warm and festive atmosphere, an ever-growing community of vapers and Cloud chasers, on the occasion of trick championships and other events! In the United States, the famous e-cigarette shop Henley Vaporium even set up the X Game of Vaping; a true world competition to see who can produce the biggest vape cloud!
In order to perform their tricks in the best conditions, Cloud chasers must ensure they can produce a maximum amount of vapour. To do this, they use Mods that they customise with spare parts in order to optimise vapour production. All means are used to achieve the goal: ultra-powerful equipment, multiple coils, large cotton wicks, airflow, not forgetting a VG-rich e-liquid such as a Chuffed e-liquid or a The Fuu e-liquid Cloud Empire; vegetable glycerin being the molecule responsible for vapour production.
When competing or making videos, Cloud chasers perform moves with names as improbable as they are technical: Ghost Inhale, Waterfall, Tornado, Blowing O's, Vapor Bubble, Dragon, French Inhale, etc. The precision with which these artists manage to reproduce these vape tricks and the enthusiasm generated around their performances have contributed to making vaping a true art form in its own right! Among the most famous representatives of this discipline, one can notably mention the Americans VGOD, who have managed to establish their style with over 700,000 subscribers on their YouTube channel to date.
