Liquid rise problems, leaks and gurgling in your electronic cigarette?

Your electronic cigarette may experience leaking problems, e-liquid rise or a kind of gurgling. Did you leave your e-cigarette in your suitcase and find all your belongings soaked?

Do you carry it in your handbag when you go out and unfortunately found liquid on your phone and wallet? Were you vaping and a few hot drops slipped onto your tongue and burned you slightly?

More than unpleasant discoveries that are, however, easily resolved! So how do you put an end to all these e-liquid rise, leaking or even gurgling problems?

It is sometimes unnecessary to replace your electronic cigarette. The problem most often comes from the clearomizer. We present a few problems of this type and give you some tips to put an end to these uncomfortable situations.

1- You may not be vaping correctly

When you first start using an electronic cigarette after previously smoking traditional cigarettes, you tend to draw in the same way. Unfortunately, this habit with the e-cigarette can damage it. Do not draw too frequently or as forcefully as with a traditional cigarette. You risk damaging the equipment and causing those notorious gurgling sounds and strange liquid rise. Do not throw away your equipment for that reason. Your electronic cigarette can be fragile and simply needs to be taken care of. So vape gently and less frequently.

2- A coil that is too worn or of poor quality

Many leakage problems are caused by the poor condition of your coil or the poor quality of the one chosen.

Coils must indeed be changed regularly in order to function properly. Otherwise, the wicks soaked in liquid, usually made of cotton, no longer perform their role correctly. The liquid is then no longer absorbed as it should be and flows into the clearomizer. We therefore recommend installing new coils every 2 weeks to a maximum of one month, depending on how regularly you use your device.

Furthermore, a poor-quality coil will not fully perform its role and will not properly absorb the liquid, which can cause it to leak. Head over to levapoteur-discount.fr to find new ones that will help you avoid these kinds of unpleasant situations.

3- Equipment that needs cleaning

Clean your electronic cigarette regularly, to remove all traces of liquid deposits that could damage the other components or prevent the seals from being airtight. Most gurgling, leaking or liquid rise problems are due to poor condensation of the e-liquid or a flow in the coil. Hot water cleaning, absorbent paper… several options are available to you to best maintain all your equipment. However, be careful not to spill water on your battery.

4- A poorly assembled e-cigarette

Your leaking and liquid rise problems may simply be due to poor assembly. Therefore, check that each part is correctly assembled, that your e-cigarette is properly screwed together, that the seals are in good condition and correctly positioned, and that you have not damaged the equipment by overtightening.

5- An incorrect liquid ratio

Follow the prescribed e-liquid doses and the recommended tank levels. Never fill more than advised and do not use your e-cigarette below the required minimum level. Too much or too little liquid, or an incorrect ratio, can cause leaks afterwards.

The thicker your liquid, the lower the risk, however. Still, check with customer service about your coils and the recommended liquid viscosity. Some e-cigarettes cannot handle a liquid that is too thick. We therefore recommend a balanced 50PG/50VG e-liquid or an affordable protect e-liquid with natural propylene glycol.

If, despite all the advice and solutions given above, you continue to experience leaks, gurgling or e-liquid rise, it may be a malfunction of your e-cigarette. Do not hesitate to contact our team to purchase new equipment or visit the electronic cigarette KIT section to find what you need.

6- Using an adapted e-liquid

Every electronic cigarette has preferred usage conditions. Particularly in terms of power settings.
The liquid used in your electronic cigarette must be suited to the coil being used.

What does that mean?

To put it simply, if you vape at low power (generally between 10 and 25 watts), your e-liquid should be mainly composed of Propylene Glycol.
If you vape at high power (30 watts and above), your e-liquid should be mainly composed of Vegetable Glycerin. Your e-liquid will therefore be thicker.

There is no real best liquid for electronic cigarettes. The best e-liquid is actually the e-liquid that matches your vaping style.

By following this advice, you would avoid liquid rise in your electronic cigarette!
