What is CBD? Let's break it down!
CBD to quit smoking! Our advice!
CBD, or cannabidiol, is part of the large family of cannabinoids — compounds found in the cannabis plant. Unlike THC, the molecule known for its psychotropic effects, CBD is a non-psychoactive molecule that acts as a natural antidepressant. The anxiolytic effects of cannabidiol help regulate stress, anxiety attacks, and mood swings.
Furthermore, CBD is also valued for its therapeutic properties and serves as an effective painkiller against many chronic inflammatory conditions such as osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, Crohn's disease, and epileptic seizures. It also proves effective in alleviating the side effects of certain neurodegenerative diseases, such as Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease, and multiple sclerosis. Finally, CBD has also demonstrated a certain effectiveness in the treatment of several cancers, as well as in helping people with diabetes combat arterial inflammation.

Unlike THC, which is illegal in France as it is considered a narcotic under Article 222-37 of the French Penal Code, the CBD has no psychoactive effects and is therefore 100% legal on French territory. However, in order to be freely marketed and used, CBD must meet several strict criteria.
First of all, the hemp varieties cultivated to produce CBD must appear on the list in Article 2 of the decree of August 22, 1990 (Article R. 5132-86 of the French Public Health Code for cannabis). Furthermore, the cultivated plant must not contain more than 0.2% THC. Finally, the finished product must contain no trace of THC and must have been manufactured exclusively from hemp seeds and fibers. Shops dedicated to the sale of legal cannabis emerged in 2018. It is also possible to obtain it from a growing number of tobacconists and online.

CBD can be consumed in different ways. It can indeed come in the form of food (cookies, sweets, etc.), drinks (infusions, sparkling waters, juices, etc.), oils, capsules, cosmetic products (creams, etc.), crystals, resin or herb, or even e-liquids to vaporize with an e-cigarette.

Thanks to its many physical and mental benefits, CBD presents itself as a valuable ally for athletes, offering a natural and healthy alternative to medication. Indeed, CBD supports physical preparation by providing a sense of well-being, reducing stress, boosting energy, and improving concentration. After exercise, its proven anti-inflammatory effect on muscles and joints enables better recovery as well as better pain management, while limiting cramps and muscle soreness. It also promotes restorative sleep. Ultimately, CBD ideally accompanies athletes and helps them surpass their limits by improving their performance!
Since January 1, 2018, WADA (the World Anti-Doping Agency) has removed CBD from the list of prohibited substances in sporting competition. The molecule is particularly popular among high-level athletes competing in endurance or combat sports. For example, 75% of MMA professionals consume CBD, according to a recent study.

To enjoy an optimal CBD vaping experience, it is preferable to opt for indirect inhalation and to choose a resistance with a value close to 1 Ohm. Indeed, CBD-based e-liquids are relatively more expensive than traditional e-liquids. This is why indirect inhalation will promote slower vaporization. Furthermore, it is advisable not to exceed 15 Watts of power so as not to alter the molecule. In addition, CBD e-liquids generally deliver a fairly pronounced hit. As a result, the experience could become unpleasant with more power.
Furthermore, to fully experience the benefits of CBD with your e-cigarette, it is preferable to adjust your vaping frequency according to the CBD content of your e-liquid. Indeed, if your liquid is highly concentrated, it will be better to vape it intensively over short periods (10 to 20 minutes), then let it take effect. Conversely, if your e-liquid has a lower dosage, you can spread your vaping sessions throughout the day without any issue. It is also advisable not to mix nicotine and CBD for obvious reasons: nicotine stimulates, while CBD relaxes. As a result, the effects of CBD could be diminished or even cancelled out. To make sure you do not mix the 2 molecules, we strongly recommend using a different clearomizer for vaping CBD and traditional nicotine e-liquids. Likewise, we advise spacing out the use of these 2 products for optimal effectiveness.
