Coolfire Z80 Zenith 2 Kit – Innokin
The Innokin Coolfire Z80 Zenith 2 Kit pairs the Coolfire Z80 box mod with a Zenith 2 clearomiser of 5.5 ml. Powered by a removable 18650 battery, this e-cigarette offers adjustable power of up to 80 W and several operating modes to adapt the vape to different coil types and draw styles.
With its compact format, screen, adjustment buttons and clearomiser with adjustable airflow, the Coolfire Z80 kit is suitable for both MTL (mouth-to-lung) vaping and a more airy draw depending on the coil used. The 18650 battery is not included with the kit and must be purchased separately.
Coolfire Z80 Kit: an Innokin box mod with 18650 battery
The Coolfire Z80 follows the principle of a box mod with a removable battery. Unlike an e-cigarette fitted with a built-in battery, it operates with an interchangeable 18650 battery. This configuration allows you to have a second charged battery on hand to extend the use of the device.
The box mod delivers power between 6 and 80 W and features a 510 connector allowing the use of the Zenith 2 clearomiser included in the kit. Its screen displays in particular the power, the coil resistance and the battery level.
The Coolfire Z80 can be occasionally charged via its USB-C port, with a stated charging current of 1.7 A. However, for regular charging of 18650 batteries, Innokin recommends using a suitable external charger.
The different vaping modes of the Coolfire Z80
Innokin equips its box mod with several modes to allow the vaper to personalise their experience.
Watt Mode
The Watt mode is the simplest setting to control the power sent to the coil. Simply select a wattage value suited to the installed coil.
For first use, it is recommended to start at the lower end of the wattage range indicated on the coil, then gradually increase according to the draw and vapour production desired.
Volt Mode
The Volt mode allows you to adjust the voltage delivered by the battery. It is aimed more at vapers who wish to precisely control the settings of their e-cigarette.
F0 Mode
The F0 mode is one of the distinctive features of the Coolfire Z80. It operates on an alternating frequency principle and allows the heating behaviour of the coil to be adapted.
Innokin indicates frequency ranges of 51 to 100 Hz for MTL and 20 to 50 Hz for DL.
Refresh Mode
The Refresh mode performs a specific heating of the coil to promote cotton saturation. This function can be accessed from the box mod menu and complements the settings available on the Coolfire Z80.
Zenith 2 Clearomiser: a 5.5 ml tank
The Zenith 2 clearomiser accompanies the Coolfire Z80 box mod. Its tank has a capacity of 5.5 ml in this configuration and features a top-fill system.
The Zenith 2 also features an adjustable airflow ring. Adjusting the airflow allows for a more or less open draw depending on the coil used and the vaper's habits.
The tank is compatible with coils from the Z-Coil / Zenith family, making it possible to change the vaping style according to the ohm value chosen.
Which coil to use with the Coolfire Z80 Kit?
The kit comes with two coils to allow you to discover different vaping styles.
Zenith 0.8 ohm coil
The Zenith 0.8 ohm coil is suited to MTL mouth-to-lung inhalation. It is used within a range of 15 to 18 W.
This configuration is particularly suited to vapers looking for a relatively tight draw with moderate vapour production. It can be paired with e-liquids with a nicotine level suited to this style of vaping.
Z Coil 0.3 ohm coil
The Z Coil 0.3 ohm coil operates between 30 and 40 W. Its low ohm value favours a more airy RDL-style inhalation and greater vapour production than the 0.8 ohm coil.
This coil is better suited to e-liquids with a low nicotine content.
How to change the coil on the Zenith 2?
The coil is a consumable part that must be replaced when it reaches the end of its life. A decrease in flavour reproduction, a burnt taste or a reduction in vapour may indicate that it is time to change the coil.
To replace the coil:
- Unscrew the base of the Zenith 2 clearomiser.
- Remove the used coil.
- Lightly prime the cotton of the new coil with a few drops of e-liquid.
- Insert the new coil into the tank.
- Close the base.
- Fill the tank.
- Wait several minutes before taking the first puff.
The lifespan of a coil depends in particular on the type of liquid, the power used and the frequency of vaping.

Please note: the 18650 battery required for the box mod to function is not included in the kit.

Always observe the wattage range indicated on the coil. If your coil has a burnt taste, replace it and do not continue vaping with a damaged coil.
