Essential for the operation of any e-cigarette, e-liquid determines the flavour, throat hit and vapour produced. The 10 ml format is the only one permitted by European regulations (TPD) to contain nicotine, up to 20 mg/ml. An e-liquid is made up of a base of propylene glycol (PG) and vegetable glycerine (VG), flavourings and, where applicable, nicotine. PG carries the flavour and throat hit, while VG provides smoothness and vapour volume. With 60% PG, this ratio sits between the versatile 50/50 blend and the MTL-focused 70/30 blend: precise flavours, a pronounced throat hit and slightly more vapour than 70/30.

Fairly fluid, a 60/40 e-liquid is suitable for coils from 0.6 to 1.2 Ω. In very airy sub-ohm equipment, it may leak and produce an overly pronounced throat hit.
