Likewise, pouch sizes can vary from Mini, Super Slim, Slim to Large, with release times ranging from 20 to 40 minutes for the smallest and up to one hour for the largest.

The sensation produced by the absorption of nicotine into the body is called a "Kick", a term commonly used to describe the effect of nicotine on the body. This sensation is similar to the "Hit" felt when using an electronic or traditional cigarette.

Its History

Nicotine Pouches were originally developed in Sweden in the 1960s in the form of pouches called Snus. It is worth noting that Sweden has the lowest rate of lung cancer in the world.

In 2014, a Swedish company called Epok began producing nicotine pouches in pouch form, and they started to gain popularity in Europe.

How to use it?

Which Nicopouch to choose?

Moisture

Nico Pouches are available in two different moisture levels.

Dry

Low moisture content and they release nicotine and the chosen flavour a few minutes after being placed. They are very discreet and leave very little residue once used. DRY pouches also keep longer than standard pouches.

Standard

Standard Pouches have different moisture levels depending on the brand, but have a dry surface, which keeps salivation contained. Nicotine is released as soon as they are placed, and these pouches are generally slightly larger than DRY pouches.

Size

Nicotine Pouches can be differentiated according to their sizes.

Large

These are the largest and can weigh up to one gram. Although they are quite bulky, they have the advantage of being the longest-lasting. They can be kept under the lip for up to one hour.

Slim

Dosages

Nicotine dosages vary depending on the Pouch brand.

Light or Extra Light 

Between 0 and 3mg of nicotine per pouch, recommended for people with very low nicotine dependence who smoke between 1 and 5 cigarettes per day.

Medium

Between 3 and 7mg of nicotine per pouch, for people with moderate nicotine dependence who smoke between 5 and 10 cigarettes per day.

Strong

Between 7 and 11mg of nicotine per pouch, for more dependent smokers who consume an average of 10 to 20 cigarettes per day.

Extra Strong

More than 11mg of nicotine per pouch, for heavy smokers who cannot do without nicotine and smoke more than twenty cigarettes per day.

Shelf life

In general, brands recommend using Standard nicotine pouches within 5 days of opening the box. On the other hand, for Dry Pouches, this shelf life is significantly extended.

There is no risk in using a Pouch whose best before date (BBD) has passed. As with an e-liquid for electronic cigarettes, the only difference when using it could be a less pronounced flavour or a shorter release of nicotine and flavour.
