A range of e-liquids inspired by the finest spirits!

Éric Baucher, the founder of Vape Cellar, had the idea of merging wine and spirits culture with the world of vaping and e-liquids. At Vape Cellar, the language of oenology and connoisseurs of fine vintages is adopted. For example, terms such as "empyreumatic aromas" and "caudalie" are used to describe the persistence of flavors on the palate. These expressions lend themselves perfectly to e-liquids. Selling e-cigarette liquids inspired by the trade of fine wines? Why not. What matters above all are the results and the intrinsic qualities of these liquids. This range of liquids is entirely dedicated to tobacco flavors. What is interesting about Vape Cellar is that they also share their culture and knowledge of real tobacco, with its various flavors. The aim here is not to specifically promote cigars or cigarettes, but rather to share an ancestral and renewed gustatory universe through vaping blends. Moreover, tobacco flavor enthusiasts are numerous among vapers. It is often through vaping that they discover the flavors of tobacco leaves from around the world, while also learning. Before presenting this range, it is useful to familiarize oneself with the origin of these tobacco flavors in order to better understand these liquids.

Here is a brief overview of the different types of tobacco you will find:

  • Virginia: Originating from the United States, but also grown in India and Africa, this tobacco varies in color from brown to yellow. It is generally dried in a heated barn, known as "flue-curing". Its taste is rather mild, sweet and fragrant. It is used in flavored and English tobaccos, and can also be enjoyed on its own.
  • Burley: This tobacco comes from various countries such as Brazil, Mexico and certain American states. It is also grown in some African countries. Its color is brown. It is a low-sugar tobacco but high in nicotine, which allows it to be added to blends to give them more body. It is rarely used pure due to its characteristics.
  • Latakia: Grown in Cyprus and Syria, although their tastes differ considerably. The leaves are quite dark brown for the Syrian variety, while they are black for the Cypriot variety. It is processed by smoking over a wood fire. It is widely used in so-called "English" blends, releasing an earthy or leathery taste note, as well as a slight smoky flavor due to its manufacturing process.
  •  Perique: Perique is a tobacco found exclusively in Louisiana and grown by a handful of farmers. Its leaves are black and have an oily appearance. Its mild flavor is often used to soften certain blends. It is used in small quantities in Virginia-based blends or English blends.
  • Maryland: Mainly produced in the state of Maryland in the United States, Maryland tobacco is ochre to brown in color. It is used in blends to improve their combustibility. Its flavor is rather neutral and it is often used to produce Cavendish.
  • Kentucky: Also produced in the American state of the same name, as well as in Africa and Mexico, Kentucky tobacco has large leaves (40 to 60 cm). It can be air-dried or smoked over a wood fire. Its use is similar to that of Burley.
  • Cavendish: Cavendish is not strictly speaking a variety of tobacco, but rather a manufacturing process for sweet or flavored tobaccos. Tobacco leaves (Virginia, Maryland or Burley) are coated with a molasses-based mixture (flavored or not), stacked and then pressed to form a "cake" that is cut after drying. The result is a very sweet tobacco that can be flavored (vanilla, chocolate, lemon, for example) and blended with other tobaccos.

As well as various oriental tobacco flavors grown in the Mediterranean basin region, particularly in Turkey, their flavor is generally spicy, sweet and mild.

All liquids in the l'Absolv range are composed of a blend of 60% propylene glycol (PG) and 40% vegetable glycerin (VG), favoring flavors over vapor production. The 30 ml bottles are opaque to protect the liquids. These liquids were designed to be savored above all else, so high-end equipment is not necessary. On the contrary, even with a nicotine concentration of 6 mg, the throat hit is very much present, inviting a relaxed vaping style where every puff is to be appreciated. They have been tested on various e-cigarettes to ensure the best possible vaping performance. The analogy with oenology is a fitting one. These liquids are perfect to enjoy at any time of the day. You can clearly sense the upstream research and the ingenious ideas that were implemented to satisfy all vapers. Vape Cellar has fully embraced the world of tobacco liquids and brought a touch of excellence to it. Today, l'Absolv stands as an unmissable reference in the vaping world, which you can discover right now at the best price on Le Vapoteur Discount!

FAQ

An e-liquid (or electronic cigarette liquid) is the product that generates vapour when heated by the coil of an electronic cigarette. Unlike traditional cigarettes, there is no combustion. The e-liquid is composed of a base (propylene glycol and vegetable glycerine), flavourings, and optionally nicotine. It determines the taste, throat hit, cloud production, and overall vaping experience.

An e-liquid generally contains four elements:
  • propylene glycol (PG), which carries the flavourings, enhances the throat hit and provides a sensation close to that of a cigarette;
  • vegetable glycerin (VG), responsible for the vapour and the density of the cloud;
  • flavourings, which give the taste (fruit, mint, classic blonde, indulgent, ice…);
  • nicotine, optional, which helps manage cravings in vapers who are quitting.
Some formulas also use alternative plant-based bases (Végétol) for a smoother experience.

An e-liquid with nicotine is intended for vapers who wish to replace traditional cigarettes. Nicotine acts on the sensation of satisfaction and limits cravings. E-liquids without nicotine are used either at the end of a quit-smoking programme, or purely for the pleasure of vaping, although it is not recommended to vape if you are not a smoker. Choosing the right nicotine level is essential to avoid a bad experience (throat irritation or cravings). The nicotine dosage depends on your previous cigarette consumption. A light smoker will not have the same needs as a heavy smoker. A level that is too low can lead to frustration and relapse, whilst a level that is too high can cause throat discomfort. The goal is to find a balance between hit, sensation and vaping comfort, adjusting gradually as needed. We generally recommend a low dosage of 0, 3 or 6 mg/ml of nicotine for light smokers or occasional smokers (fewer than 7 cigarettes per day), and a high dosage of 20 mg/ml of nicotine salt for heavy smokers (1 packet of cigarettes or more). However, this dosage can be adjusted depending on your e-cigarette and your vaping style.

Nicotine salt is a more stable and smoother form of nicotine to inhale. It provides rapid absorption, with a less harsh throat hit, even at high strengths. Nicotine salt e-liquids are particularly suited to beginner vapers, former heavy smokers, and low-wattage MTL kits. There are different nicotine salt strengths. The most well-known and effective being 20 mg/ml, highly suited to heavy smokers. However, a strength of 10 mg/ml may be perfectly suitable for a regular or occasional smoker.

A nicotine booster is a nicotine-concentrated bottle, designed to be added to a large-format e-liquid. It allows you to adjust the final nicotine level according to the quantity added. Flexible and cost-effective, this solution allows you to boost your large-format e-liquid to 3 or 6 mg/ml of nicotine. For a 50 ml e-liquid, adding one nicotine booster will give you 3 mg/ml, while two nicotine boosters will turn your e-liquid into 6 mg/ml.

The propylene glycol / vegetable glycerin ratio strongly influences the vaping experience.
  • An e-liquid rich in propylene glycol or PG (70/30, 80/20) enhances the throat hit, flavour precision and discreet vaping. The e-liquid will be thin and compatible only with MTL devices with a tight draw to avoid leaks.
  • An e-liquid rich in vegetable glycerin or VG (30/70) produces more vapour and clouds, with a smoother, sweeter sensation. This thicker e-liquid will be compatible with sub-ohm or shisha-type e-cigarettes, producing large clouds of vapour at high power.
The choice therefore depends on the power and compatibility with your e-cigarette. If in doubt, the most common ratio remains 50/50 PG/VG. Balanced, it allows versatile use on MTL, RDL and light DTL e-cigarette models (between approximately 15 and 40 watts).

E-liquids with a vegetable base or Végétol replace traditional propylene glycol. They are often gentler on the throat, better tolerated by vapers who are sensitive to PG, and offer a smoother vape without compromising on flavour. However, they should be used in MTL with a low wattage (minimum 30 watts) to avoid the risk of leaks and preserve the quality of the product.

Yes, CBD e-liquids are designed for vaping and generally do not contain nicotine. They offer a different sensation, focused on relaxation, without any addictive effect. They should be used at moderate wattage to preserve the quality of the product. A tight-draw MTL e-cigarette is recommended for use with them.

E-liquids are considered a much healthier alternative to smoked tobacco. They are formulated from ingredients certified as safe for health, unlike the 7,000 harmful substances found in traditional cigarettes. However, to choose a safe e-liquid, a few precautions should be taken, such as buying your e-liquid from a recognised retailer like Le Vapoteur Discount or checking the composition and origin by favouring reputable and regulated brands.

An e-liquid manufactured in France meets strict requirements and European directives regarding traceability, control, and safety. As a guarantee of quality and transparency for the consumer, French and European brands generally have their own laboratory for developing their e-liquid formula and are required to have this formulation studied by an independent laboratory before placing it on the market. All these steps ensure that e-liquids are safe for vapers. These French and European quality standards prohibit undesirable substances and provide a more secure framework for vaping.

To keep your e-liquid as long as possible and preserve its quality, taste and colour, you should keep it in its original bottle and ideally away from light, heat and air. Despite these precautions, it can happen that the e-liquid takes on a slightly brown tint. Safe and fit for consumption, this colour is due to the oxidation of the nicotine and can also depend on the flavouring used in the e-liquid. It is generally advised not to keep the same e-liquid for more than 5 days in your clearomiser or pod cartridge if you are not using it, to avoid leaks and excessive oxidation.

The DLUO (Date Limite d'Utilisation Optimale) or BBD (Best Before Date) is an indicative date. Once the e-liquid's date has passed, it may lose its flavour qualities and appearance (colour, fluidity). An e-liquid fresh from the factory will have a BBD of approximately 2 years. Even past the BBD, the e-liquid remains suitable for vaping and will not be harmful to health.
