FAQ
The battery, often called a box, is the heart of the electronic cigarette. It provides the energy needed to heat the coil and produce vapour. Boxes allow you to manage power, battery life, and sometimes different vaping modes. A distinction is mainly made between boxes with a built-in battery and boxes with removable batteries, depending on the type of power supply used.
A box with a built-in battery has a non-removable battery that charges via USB. It is simple to use, compact, and ideal for everyday vaping without any constraints. A removable battery box works with one or more removable cells (18650 or 21700). It offers greater battery life, power, and flexibility, but requires a good understanding of battery safety rules.
The numbers correspond to the physical format of the battery cell.
- 18650s are the most common, versatile, and compatible with many boxes.
- 21700s are more recent, offer better battery life, and support higher power levels.
The choice depends on the box being used and the type of vaping desired.
The choice depends on several criteria: the power required, the desired battery life, the type of clearomiser used, and the vaper's level of experience. Moderate vaping will suit a built-in battery perfectly, whilst more intense vaping will require a removable battery box to ensure performance and endurance.
No, provided you follow the essential safety rules: use quality batteries in good condition, suited to the power being used, and favour an external charger. Modern boxes incorporate many electronic protections that make them safe to use when handled correctly.
Le Vapoteur Discount offers a carefully selected range of boxes with built-in batteries and boxes with 18650 or 21700 removable batteries, from brands renowned for their reliability. With competitive prices, models for all vaper profiles, and detailed product pages, you can be sure of choosing a battery suited to your needs, with complete confidence.
