GeekVape revisits its best-seller, the Sonder Kit, to offer us a redesigned and optimised Q2 version! 

The GeekVape Kit Sonder Q2 is a small, simple and effective pod e-cigarette! It comes in a long, flat format, fully automatic, with no buttons except for its adjustable airflow.

For its second edition, GeekVape went bigger and better with power increased to 30 watts (compared to 25 watts for the first) and above all a battery life of 1350 mAh (compared to 1000 mAh).

The design is also much more premium, with aluminium alloy materials rather than plastic.

Who is the GeekVape Kit Sonder Q2 for?

The GeekVape Kit Sonder Q2 suits both new vapers and experienced ones alike.

On one hand, its ease of use, pocket-friendly design and compatibility with nicotine salts make it an ideal first pod e-cigarette.

On the other hand, its flavour delivery, good battery life and quality build will be appreciated by long-time vapers looking for a backup kit or even a primary e-cigarette.

In any case, the Sonder Q2 is aimed primarily at vapers who use indirect inhalation (MTL) or semi-direct inhalation (RDL) and who prefer flavour delivery over vapour production. As such, it can be paired with high nicotine levels and fluid PG/VG ratios of 70/30 or balanced 50/50.

A premium and colourful design

GeekVape completely rethought the design foundations of its Sonder. While the first edition was entirely covered in lightweight ridged plastic, the second features an aluminium alloy that is equally lightweight but much more solid, premium and comfortable in the hand. 

Its multiple colours, from the most vivid to the most understated, are colour-matched throughout the material so they never chip on impact. On the left side you will find an airflow adjustment and on the right side the USB Type-C charging port. This fully automatic pod keeps things as simple as possible.

But what sets the Sonder Q2 apart the most is its round LED. A bright idea that adds an original and colourful touch to its rather discreet form factor. 

In terms of discretion, the Kit Sonder Q2 knows how to go unnoticed in your hand, pocket or bag with dream dimensions: 12 cm long and 2.4 cm wide. 

Optimised power and battery life

Small but powerful, the GeekVape Kit Sonder Q2 offers a 5W increase in power compared to the previous version. This difference gives it perfect compatibility with the Q Series cartridge at 0.4 ohm, requiring a power of between 25 and 30 watts for a semi-direct inhale in RDL.

Fully automatic, the power adjusts according to the installed cartridge and you will not need to set the watts. There is also no button to trigger vapour — this pod features the auto draw function, activated by inhaling.

This power is backed by excellent battery life with an integrated battery, also increased to 1350 mAh for an extended vaping experience.

It charges via its USB Type-C port. However, opt for a 1A charger rather than your smartphone charger. A 1A charger will be kinder to its long-term lifespan.

Compatible with GeekVape Q Series cartridges

The kit works with pod cartridges with an integrated coil in the tank. 

The GeekVape Kit Sonder Q2 will be compatible with all Q Series cartridges from the brand (2 ml or 3 ml) and will come with the 0.8 ohm 3ml version. 

You will find various cartridge resistance values available separately for a versatile vaping experience: 

• 0.4 ohm (25-30W): the most airy in the series, for great vapour clouds in semi-direct inhalation or RDL draw. It can be paired with 50/50 PG/VG e-liquids and nicotine levels not exceeding 10 mg/ml for greater throat comfort. 
• 0.6 ohm (18-25W): it offers a semi-tight draw, still in semi-direct RDL inhalation. It can accommodate e-liquids between 70/30 and 50/50 PG/VG and high nicotine levels.
• 0.8 ohm (12-18W) included with the kit: for a tight MTL draw, close to a traditional cigarette. It will be perfect with fluid 70/30 PG/VG e-liquids and high nicotine levels and nicotine salts.

These pod cartridges feature easy "side fill" filling. Simply lift the black silicone cover to reveal the filling hole and fill the tank with ease.

How to fill the cartridge with e-liquid?

Filling the 3 ml side fill Q Series cartridge of the Sonder Q2 is as simple as it gets: 

• Lift the black silicone cover on the side of the cartridge;
• Fill with up to 3 ml of e-liquid; 
• Close the silicone cover; 
• If it is a new cartridge, proceed to prime it. 

How to prime the cartridge for first use?

Before vaping for the first time on your new cartridge, you need to prime it with your liquid. The coil inside the cartridge contains cotton that must always be saturated with liquid to avoid burnt tastes. To do this:

• Fill the cartridge as described above;
• With the cartridge NOT inserted in the battery, take 4 or 5 long dry draws to draw the liquid up into the coil;
• Wait a few minutes, then vape :)

When to change the cartridge on your e-cigarette?

Pod cartridges with integrated coils are consumable products that need to be changed regularly for a healthy vaping experience. A coil is estimated to have a lifespan of 2 to 3 weeks depending on your usage and the liquid used. 

When a coil is too worn out, it shows signs of weakness: 

• Burnt taste, ashy taste;
• Alteration of the flavours of your usual liquid;
• Possible liquid leaks;
• Your pod cartridge is not being detected by the battery.
